"Cleaning in the rooms was only surface-level. The chair in the room has a previous guest's spillage. The curtains were dirty, and the bed sheet had holes in it. The location was ideal."

"Food was decent, bar was nicely set out. Check in fast and efficient wutj friendly staff. Shuttle from train station and to airport fab addition. Room 128 unfortunately was a massive let down with a strong sweaty and used odour as you entered the room that did not disapate even with the window open all night. The bathroom door was rotten, thick dust everywhere. Duvet cover ripped and exposing a yellow duvet and yellow stains on some of the towels. Not the standard i expect from Clayton. Emailed to complain and have been happy with their efficient response."

"The hotel lobby is quite beautiful and the location is absolutely perfect. It is right in the centre of town. My complaint is mainly the service. Some of the staff went above and beyond and were super friendly and personable, and others were quite cold and unwelcoming. My father was in the bath when someone entered his room for no reason. We went and complained and were told it was simply just a member of the supervisor team checking in on the room. We think this was so strange and unacceptable. They should know who is in a room and who is not before coming in. There was no knock on the door either when they came in making it quite an embarrassing experience. We reported it to reception and they didn't seem so bothered. "
