Oronzino showed us baby chicks, frogs, took the children to pick apricots, lemons and mulberries. He made almond brittle for us in the most fantastic demonstration. It was magical. It’s 20mins from Lecce and the nearest town, campi salentina, is pretty with a great gelateria. "

"A charming time warp with modern facilities! Rooms filled with an eclectic assortment of curios and antiques made for a romantic dip into the past. Very friendly and helpful staff made plentiful breakfasts even more delightful. Balanced with a small but clean and modern bathroom with lovely hot water and a powerful shower, gave the perfect combination. Only one critisism, which is not the fault of the hotel, was that the small town was lacking in anywhere to go locally for refreshment or entertainment. Would not recommend if you don't have your own transport! "
