"Budget property with all facilities in room aircon, toiletries, towels, table chair tv. Covered parking in front, lift. Close to the San Sebastian cemetery. Spanish breakfast was included which consisted of orange juice, coffee, bread and local Spanish spreads made from Chorizo and Ham. I think they are called Sobrasada and Zurrapa de Lomo. Staff all smiled and were helpful but they only spoke Spanish except for 1 staff so I relied on my Google Translator and sign language a lot!"

"We spent a wonderful week at Casa Christa and enjoyed this lovely setting tremendously! We stayed in Casita Elisa which was very comfortable and well equipped, and had a great private terrace and pool. Christa and Pascal were amazing hosts and made us feel very welcome. We look forward to returning to this paradise in the mountains."

"We stayed at Villa Romo for 10 days. The perfect place to get away and appreciate a slower pace and Spanish way of life. Carl & Maria were attentive throughout. Only snag was getting to the house on day one, as we were driving from Toledo. Managed to find the house before dark; a plus! The home is quite remote and it took us about 30 minutes to get there from the small town of Rio Gordo. (My advice is to buy groceries before you arrive.) We were very happy to get 'home' and unwind and not have to brave the roads again after dark. With that being said, after day 2 we became quite comfortable navigating the mountain roads and enjoyed the sweeping views and beautiful wild flowers around every bend! Who needs Ronda when you have the mountains of Axarquia? Didn't take as many day trips as planned, due to the location, about 4 days on, 5 days at home/local. May was the perfect time to visit; not too hot, and the spring fairs and festivals are still going on! The house is well appointed, with just about everything you need to cook a good meal and relax with your group around the pool. Loved the outdoor grill as well (sadly did not get the chance to use the wood-fired pizza oven).The water got very hot and the waterfall shower heads are wonderful. There are plenty of linens, towels, and patio chair pillows to go around. Fans in every bedroom, although this time of year we did not really need them. Carl was friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about the local goings on. Thank you!"

"La Bobadilla was exceptional. Staff were beyond attentive no matter your request. Both the restaurants were amazing, especially La Finca’s taster menu of which we have never had an experience like it. Our room was tastefully decorated in an old-style, with a beautiful patio with stunning views. Housekeeping did an amazing job at tidying the room and with turn-down service. All amenities were great. The only downside was that we didn’t stay long enough! "

"Typical Spanish hotel, full of dark furniture but in an excellent position. Restaurant looked good but was closed, maitre de directed us to possibly the worst restaurant in spain.Will definitely return as Antequera is delightful"

"The receptionist said that there were parties going on & he could change my room if it was too loud. The only time I found it loud was when we had dinner in the restaurant, kids playing around like kids do. Had a great stay & don’t mind kids playing around, shows they are happy kids!"

"Superb staff, location and food. The staff team couldn’t do enough for us. Brilliant views and dining options. This is a small hotel that gives a lot considering it size. The pool is fabulous and although I heated was perfect for a few laps. Thank you to all the staff for making our stay superb."
