"We stayed in one of the newer rooms because we have a dog, but the communication between expedia and the hotel was POOR and 2 of our rooms were completely wrong. I had even called the hotel directly a couple of weeks in advance to go over all the rooms, and the gentleman I spoke with couldn’t even see that I had a reservation for my dates. After many minutes on the phone and me telling him I booked through expedia, he then saw my reservation. I confirmed that ai had requested 1 queen and 1 double queen in the historic side of the hotel, BOTH with full amenities (bathrooms inside the rooms, some of their rooms don’t have bathrooms), and he confirmed all of that on the phone! When my party of 5 went to check in, 2 of our rooms didn’t have bathrooms, and BOTH rooms in the historic side were SINGLE queen, not at all what I had confirmed over the phone!! After coming down from just climbing Mount Whitney and being off the grid for 4 days, we were all so tired and in no mood to be told the rooms were NOT what was verbally confirmed by phone. Things happen, but the man doubled down that he had never talked to me, YET had confirmed that he indeed changed 1 room for the dog. In the end, a female colleague stepped in and made everything happen correctly and got all our rooms situated correctly."
"Wonderful Stay in Lone PineWe had a wonderful stay at this Lone Pine property. We spent a couple of days here before heading out on a week-long backpacking trip into the Golden Trout Wilderness, and it was the perfect place to prepare for our adventure. The property was clean, comfortable, and conveniently located close to town. Communication with the owner was excellent throughout the entire process, making everything easy and stress-free. We especially appreciated the large living room area, which gave us plenty of space to organize and load our backpacks before hitting the trail. The property has also been nicely updated and was very comfortable during our stay. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. If we're back in Lone Pine, this will be our first choice."
"Couldn’t beat the price, had a dead fly that I cleaned in the window and one live fly that was harassing me lol. I wasn’t picky though I was exhausted had just summited Mt Whitney!"
"An amazing and unique housing structure for large groups. Very spacious and comfortable. Even with 5 people staying here it did not feel crowded at all; however, there were a lot of ants in the kitchen and some bathroom areas. Also, more concerning for us, was that we saw a few mice in the house. One hiding in the master bedroom closet, the other by the living room area. Potentially more throughout the house, so be mindful of this. The house is quite remote with a large open field next to it so I’m sure many critters probably get in. Other than that it was a nice stay."
"We loved the location. As advertised, we were able to walk everywhere in town. Parking was great, right in front of the unit. Other than a few slight bumps with the oven and washer, the stay was quite nice. The owner was kind enough to install a new washer while we were there! We made due with the BBQ and stovetop for cooking. Great little place for a family of 4. The pics show 2 futons in the living room, but there was only one when we arrived. We made it work! Thanks for a great stay and for helping make memories for my family and I."
Walk to Main St! 20 min drive to Whitney Portal. High speed internet
10/10 Excellent
"Very cute home close to downtown in a quiet residential neighborhood. The home is clean, comfortable and well equipped. Perfect as a base to explore the area. We felt very much at home and thoroughly enjoyed staying at this house with our family. We went on day hikes in the nearby mountains. Will definitely return here on our next trip to Lone Pine."
"It ain’t the ritz Carlton but it’s also super cheap. A/C works great, shower works great, it’s 20 yards from the Main Street so very walkable and they even have a washer and dryer if you need to do laundry. Perfect for the night if you plan on heading up to the Sierras or just want to check out Alabama Hills, Bishop, etc. Not a romantic spot but serves is purpose perfectly."
"Fantastic property! Very spacious. Clean and comfortable throughout. The indoor pool area was enjoyed by all my family. Beautiful views of My Whitney and the Sierras. I highly recommend this place."
