Stunning Views from a cozy space

Parking available, car needed here as we are half way up mountain ridge. Hot tub use provided, Seperate suite with own deck and entrance , kitchenette and small fridge and coffee maker., 3 piece bathroom .2 min to main village, ocean view. Also pet friendly as we have a dog.

Please note : stairs down to suite , bed is raised and uses step stools to get in and out . Not suitable for disabilities.

Owners were onsite! Welcoming and helpful. It was helpful that they provided coffee and fresh milk for breakfast. And of course, the views were stunning!

Stellar view! A small place that’s very thoughtfully organized and supplied. And very clean. Very nice touch with all the extra treats. Having access to the hot tub was a special treat! Would highly recommend.

The tiniest place we’ve ever stayed! That said, it was charming and very cozy. The bed was comfortable and the ladders very sturdy. The lights behind our heads were a bit dangerous (sharp metal!), but we covered them up to avoid an accident. View was magnificent…

Whimsical property

Beautiful spot. Love the large tree canopy in the driveway and the mountain/ocean views. It’s also great to watch TV from bed.

Lovely relaxing getaway. We appreciated the extras & treats provided. Doug and Jan were very welcoming and helpful. The location was peaceful and the view was spectacular. We loved being able to use the hot tub! Will definitely be back.

Great Pet Friendly Getaway

This is a perfect little spot to relax. Great views, great hosts and a hot tub. That it was pet friendly made it so much easier for us to get away on a whim. The little treats and finishing touches were perfect. We loved waking up in the high bed and looking out the window. The hosts were gracious and responsive and supplied us with some headlamp toques to go for a night hike.

Doug was a great host!

Doug recommended some great spots to eat, and visit during our stay. We came when the temperatures reached -15 so there was no water, but Doug did everything he could to make our stay more comfortable. We really enjoyed the hot tub and fabulous views of the ocean.

Great hosts, cozy room, incredible view!

Chatted with Doug for a while about the history and design of the house. Beautiful home and property with an unbeatable view of the harbour. The small guest suite was generously supplied with a cute snack basket with salty and sweet options and a fridge full of drinks and basic needs. This was my first stay on the island and staying here made it more relaxing and plasurable than I had planned! :)

Stay on the hill

Fantastic view. Lots of eating and drink treats. A little confined. A little tough to get in and out of bed if you have mobility problems. Good tough.

This would have been a perfect stay, however, there was an overpowering sewage type smell that can't be ignored or adjusted to. I could not enjoy my evening or even sleep through it, even with the windows open. Its too bad, because the host was amazing and they even included snacks and drinks in the room, not to mention hhe view was beautiful. I would have given 5 stars, if not for the offensive smell.

Absolutely amazing spot!

I had to come for the night to do some work on SSI the following morning so I brought my partner and our pup along too. We arrived and instantly fell in love with the view from the place and how cute and quaint it was! The owners are absolutely fantastic. So friendly and very easy to communicate with when we had questions prior to and during our stay. They left us these sweet, what we believe, homemade dog treats! Our pup LOVED them. They also had a bin of snacks and a fridge full of drinks all included. They left us some muffins from a local bakery and they were delicious! We absolutely enjoyed our stay and recommend it to anyone who wants to stay on the island with a BEAUTIFUL view. Oh! And they have a hot tub too so like… worth it!! ❤️

We cannot say enough about this fantastic property and the owners (Jan and Doug). The property overlooks the ocean so after a busy day walking around town, hiking, scooting or visiting one of the many Salt Spring Island attractions, it’s nice to be able to retreat back to the suit, have a hot tub, watch the sunset and real under the stars. The owners went above and beyond. They had snacks, drinks (non-alcoholic) and baked goods in our room (upon arrival) and offered us rides when and if we needed them. We didn’t have a car so we walked most everywhere except when they were kind enough to drive us to a couple of places that were too far to walk. The walk to town is about 20 minutes and uphill almost the whole way home but it was a beautiful walk and we enjoyed the exercise. Take Bishop’s Trail for the scenic, beautiful trail. It’s not longer just prettier because you’re not walking along the road. STAY HERE. It’s a dream. Thanks for everything Jan and Doug!

This property was really nice. It's in a basement suite under the owners house and has a lovely private balcony with an amazing view. The property has everything you could need - Keurig, toaster, even cream in the fridge along with drinks, pastries, and a loaf of bread. So generous. The hot tub is on the owners' deck above - you need to text them to use it and they will give you privacy. I didn't feel comfortable doing this so I can't comment on it. Be aware that this location is not walkable to town. It is steep uphill from town but there is also intense road contruction all the way and the roads nearest to the property are unlit at night. I'm a big daily walker but didn't feel comfortable walking into town. That said, there is lots of parking in town - even on Saturdays so not really a problem. Overall good value for the money.
