We had plans to be in San Antonio the weekend of the solar eclipse. Booked this house almost a year in advance. As we were getting on the plane to San Antonio, got an email that the reservation was cancelled. There was nothing else available by that time. Ended up staying in a terrible hotel and paying $2k for just the two days.

If you are going to rent as a VRBO, please address the following issues. While taking a shower, the tub drains painfully slowly so standing in water. Dishwasher had a sign "not working". No silverware/6 plastic cups to drink from/no coffee mugs/ice from fridge not working/no sheets on the beds.
