Amazing 2BR Home in the Heart of Rancho Bernardo

Summary:

This wonderful 2BR home was renovated by the owner who acquired it from his father and has opted to keep it as a place for his (and other families) to gather and connect.



The Space:

Fully renovated in 2018 with updated kitchen and bathrooms. Queen beds in both bedrooms, a bathtub in one bathroom and a step in shower in the other. The living/dining/den space has been meticulously redesigned with family time in mind. The backyard is lush and includes a fire pit, bar and grill to take it outside and take advantage of one of the best climates in the world! You have access to the garage (with a washer/dryer) as well as the large driveway.



Guest Access:

The entire home is yours including the exclusive use of the backyard, garage and driveway.



The Neighborhood:

Rancho Bernardo is a bedroom community of San Diego. Known for its great schools, active retirement communities and golf courses, RB Is a great place to stay if visiting relatives in the area of wishing to visit San Diego but have a slower pace when you return home from the city.



Getting Around:

This is a suburb located 20 minutes north of San Diego so a car is recommended. Uber/Lyft are very active in San Diego and the assigned parking guarantees that you will always have parking should you venture out into greater San Diego.



Other Things to Note:

For stays longer than 30 days, I require a deposit in the amount of one month's rent to be paid offline due 60 days prior to arrival as well as a formal lease agreement.



This property is pet friendly, though we don't allow cats here. There is a $150 pet fee applied after booking. If you have any questions please ask!



Beach Equipment: despite the inclusion of snorkeling gear, we do not offer it at our rentals



Interaction with Guests:

Check-in is virtual, as you'll be provided with a digital Guest Portal and a personalized door code. Vacation Rentals by Aaron is a full-service property management company, and will be available 24-7 in case you need anything during your stay.

Aging Property needs to be updated and cleaned

The property is in a very good location but is an aging property and needs to be updated and cleaned properly. There was dust, a plumbing issue which was addressed and then a fire department emergency caused by an appliance hazard which required that I wait some time for the San Diego Gas and Electric Co. to diagnose the issue. The manager was in Hawaii and unavailable for this emergency. I checked out of the property at that time, and shortened my 28 day by almost 2 weeks. Big inconvenience as we were there to welcome and help our children with a new baby at their home nearby. There were no hangers in the closet and the kitchen was not cleaned properly at all which might have eliminated the appliance hazard before my arrival. Very frustrating.

Great house!

We had a great stay at the DeLong Rancho! The house was very clean and beautifully decorated. We enjoyed sitting outside on the patio enjoying the beautiful San Diego weather and the delightful hummingbirds. The beds were very comfortable and the sheets lovely and soft. The kitchen had everything we needed. Marci was gracious and delightful. She made sure we had everything we needed. We enjoyed this home as we were busy my parents. We will definitely be back! Thank you!

Misleading representations, combative property manager

Condom wrappers in bedroom #2, pieces of toe separators from a pedicure in the master bed sheets, dog hair everywhere including the silverware drawer. All of these things the very first night after a long day of traveling and then to find only one bath towel and a couple hand towels. We had to get ahold of Aaron who argued there were towels in the bathrooms and finally allowed us a key to unlock a cupboard with towels. In the kitchen the drawers were sticky and the stove is greasy. Aaron offered to come and clean while we were out, but this place needs a deep clean, nothing you are going to fix in 30 minutes. We paid to be here on vacation, not play property manager and supervise a house cleaner. The floor turns your socks black just walking around. This place is dirty. The first morning we found broken glass on the floor by the bookshelf. The outside patio has not been sprayed down what looks like all winter. We took pictures of this stuff. Unbelievably disappointed we rented this place for 3 weeks; and unfortunately paid in advance. So gross. I felt sick we had this place for 3 weeks. :( Ask me for pictures, I have them.

Comfortable Home Close To The Beach

Great location, easy walk to beach, restaurants and shops. The beds and couch were the most comfortable of any home we've stayed at in the past. The home has a good layout with a great deck.

Rancho bernardo stay

Home was in a great location for my family visit. House was very well stocked. Everything i needed to cook a big dinner. Backyard was very pleasant with a nice firepit. Will stay again.

A perfect property and an even better host!

Fantastic! This two bedroom / 2 bathroom with additional sleeping areas and marvelous backyard was perfect. The location was near family, friends and 30 mins to the beaches, La Jolla, USD, Del Mar and everywhere else we wanted to be. The host, Aaron, was super communicative and friendly. Check in was easy, instructions for things inside the house were clear, and check out was a breeze. We will definitely rent this or other of Aaron’s properties in the future.

Convenient location

We came down for a couple of days at the San Diego Safari Park. This is a beautiful retreat after a long day walking the hills of the park. Sitting around the fire pit with a glass of wine wile waiting for dinner. Who could ask for more.

Thanksgiving Family Stay

Excellent location close to the beach, downtown, Safari Park and our local relatives. We had 2 couples and plenty of room. The house and yard are beautiful. We have family in the area and hope to return and stay here again.

Family trip to SD

Wonderful Experience

Our family had a magical stay in San Diego at this amazing property in Rancho Bernardo! This home has everything you need to live comfortably while on vacation. Plenty of space for a big family. The backyard is amazing with the gas fire pit. Each morning from the top of the yard you can catch a glimpse of the sunrise! Would 100% stay again and recommend! If you are looking…book it!
