Summary:
This gorgeous, recently updated Ocean Beach Condo has all new finishes, kitchen cabinets, counters, bath and furnishings! Beachy and sweet close to Dusty Rhodes Park, ROBB Field, Dog Beach and blocks to the Beach & Pier! Not your typical beach bum-galow, this one is sparkling clean & available NOW!! Large shared patio area. There is ample seating, dining set and a BBQ for your use. Super close to dog beach and YES we accepts dog on approval.

The Space:
Inside this unit really shines with all new plank flooring, updated appliances, 50" television and completely renovated bath. It is truly a designer's home! One comfortable queen bed and central AC! Inside the garage, you'll find a washer/ dryer, beach chairs, four boogie boards, and two beach umbrellas.

Guest Access:
This is a single condo that is part of a quaint 4-plex that is typical in Ocean Beach. The neighboring units are all occupied by quiet, professional long term tenants.

The Neighborhood:
OB is the hippest and most "neighborly" of San Diego's beach communities. There is nothing quite like the non-corporate lifestyle of Ocean Beach. The locals here love OB for its eclectic community that supports a range of wonderful small shops, restaurants, bars and coffee houses. You will find some of the best food, drink and shopping in the local area. All of OB is accessible on foot from this location. So enjoy and take it all in!

Getting Around:
There is an assigned parking place just outside your door (in the alley behind the property). Please be mindful that it is beach parking. Small- to mid-sized vehicles are easy to fit but larger vehicles may have to use street parking (which is actually not that hard to find within a block or so of the residence).

Other Things to Note:
For stays longer than 30 days, I require a deposit in the amount of one month's rent to be paid offline due 60 days prior to arrival as well as a formal lease agreement.
This property is pet friendly, though we don't allow cats here. There is a $150 pet fee applied after booking. If you have any questions please ask!

Interaction with Guests:
We are a self-service destination (check-in details will be sent 3 days prior to arrival). However, we are also a full-service, professional management company (that has been a Superhost/Preferred Partner for over 4 years running) and we are just a phone call/text/email away and have agents that are almost never more than 10 minutes away should a need arise.

Great pet friendly reprieve

This was a great option. I was down in San Diego for 3 weeks and wanted a pet friendly place. It worked out well, good directions for keeping pets in condo, pet park and beach close by. The neighborhood was also friendly.

Great Recovery

My daughter, an out of state student at PLNU, was having surgery and recovering in her dorm room was not an option. I reserved this condo through VRBO based on the reviews and was thrilled I did!The communication with the owner was terrific, the online check in was easy, and the online door lock mechanism was very convenient. The condo itself was very clean and almost exactly as advertised. Having stayed in OB previously, having a designated parking space was GREAT!My only feedback is that the condo indicates that it sleep 4. The only actual bed is the king in the bedroom. The sectional couch in the main room is the only other option. It was great for 1 person but might be a bit tight for two. I recommend this unit and the owner very highly!

Great location & pet friendly

It was a last minute trip so I needed to be able to bring my dog. The location was very pet friendly and it was a very short ride over to Ocean Beach, which allows dogs on the beach even off leash. There were several restaurants in the area that were also pet friendly so overall a great location to take your family along with your pet.. The unit was clean and was stocked of everything you would need during your visit and the check-in checkout was seamless!

Great Place to Stay

This is a generously sized, well-equipped apartment that made our stay a pleasure. The neighborhood is cleaner and quieter than the ones closer to the beach. The patio is big and furnished with a couch, table and chairs for outdoor dining. We watched the lunar eclipse while eating dinner! The rules for pets are stringent and only suitable for obedient dogs who stay off furniture, etc. We would definitely stay there again.

A great stay

This is a clean, well-maintained unit. There were no major issues, and Vacation Rentals by Aaron did an excellent job addressing the few niggling issues. We enjoyed a 5-day stay, and the beautiful, fully-equipped kitchen made meals easy. There is a large health food co-op about a block away to stock up the kitchen, as well as numerous restaurants and shops within walking distance, so we didn’t even need the car that often unless we were going some distance. Finally, in addition to the famous dog beach (about a 15 minute walk), there is a very large park with fenced large and small dog parks contained within it - all just around the corner. Highly recommend.

Grandparents visit

Stayed for 6 nights for a family visit. This is our third time in this unit. Very convenient, since the family lives just down the other end of Greene St. Everything in town is within walking distance and feel very secure in this location. Instructions were a little out of date this visit - door lock was different, and the garage doors are not numbered any more. Still, excellent choice for us.

Wonderful Beach Stay

Place was extremely clean and had all sort of amenities that we enjoyed using! A little too far of a walk from our favorite beach, but located in the middle of everything for driving. I would definetly stay here again!

Short stay in Ocean Beach

The property was very clean, & the photos were accurate. The kitchen was well-stocked, the bed was very comfortable, & the bathroom & shower were great. The complex has a cute courtyard w/patio furniture & a game area & was perfect for our dogs. It was about a mile walk to the beach.Cons: The check-in text gave detailed info for where to park (the alley) and the next morning we found our car had been broken into & my checkbook was stolen. This necessitated an entire morning at the bank to lock my account until I could move all my auto pays to a new account. There is on street parking but it fills up very quickly & if you are out in the evening you likely won't find a spot nearby. Also, be aware that there is a lot of airport noise, with jets taking off overhead every 15 minutes or so from 6 am until at least 11 pm. The air quality was thus very poor and we checked out early as it caused me to have an asthma attack. This is no fault of the VRBO property owners- this is just Ocean Beach. Bring ear plugs!

Spontaneous Getaway

Literally, at the last minute, my husband and I decided to go on a mini vacation needing a pet friendly place to stay in San Diego. This condo was the first option, and IMO the BEST! Perfect location, perfect size, perfect price! It's such a beautiful little condo! Aaron, the owner, was very quick to reply to our booking and very helpful. When we arrived, the door key code was not working, but with a quick call, his assistant helped us to gain access quickly. The condo is beautifully designed, with a comfortable bed, and I love the shower! I especially love that it's pet friendly! Dog beach is a very close walk, and our furboy Gunner loved it. Can't wait to come back again!

Spacious one bedroom, great location very close to OB People's Coop which has the best deli/restaurant. Well equipped kitchen. Enough room to organize our stuff and feel comfortable.

lovely place to stay

The property worked out wonderfully! We booked at the last minute because our other reservation fell through. Aaron was amazing. He helped us get our booking through quickly. He checked in several times to make sure we were settled. the place was lovely very clean and accommodating for everything that we needed. It was close to all of san diego. Everything was only 10-15 minutes away if you wanted to leave the area. Thank you for a great stay. highly recommend.

Great area to walk the OB area and dog beach was right around the corner so we could let the dogs have a good time too. Everything worked out very well. Glad we stayed, and we'd do it again.

When I opened the door I felt like I just stepped into the picture.

It was more than what I could have hoped for, I immediately felt at home. One of the reasons I chose this place was because I love to cook and my 86 yr old mother and we're spending the holidays together first time in 25 years. I only live 40 minutes away, checked out the kitchen items to see what I would have to return home for, was astonished everything was there or adaptable for my needs. I've been to many places before, this one of the overall tops, unit itself, location, ease of access to everything, made this a great holiday together for the two of us. The weather on the other hand was not to good, my mother was expecting warmth and sunshine, which we had very little of the entire two weeks, but when inside we could care less about the weather. I will return again to stay, while looking for a permanent residence Ocean Beach is also a ideal place to live.

Enjoyed our stay

Had a great time and a great property. The guys at Chris’s deli were great and just steps away. Wish the 2nd bed was a bit nicer than a blow up mattress. Other than that and the morning airplane noise, perfect stay and would definitely come back.

good location

Property was very comfortable as well as the sofa, bed, towels and linens. The kitchen was a nice size, we cooked brunch one morning for 4 adults and 1 child and we had plenty of room. We were within walking distance of family and the neighborhood was very quiet. The only negatives are that the large saute pan has seen better days and should be replaced. Also, I stripped the pillow cases before reading the info for leaving the apartment and found a dried bloody spot on the pillow. Pretty gross since I slept on the pillow for 2 weeks. The pillows need to be washed between bookings or just replaced. We would definitely book this apartment again in the future.
