Underwhelming
Our stay was disappointing and fell short of our expectations, especially considering we chose it to celebrate our anniversary.
Check-In Experience: We arrived an hour after the stated check-in time, only to find our room was not ready. After an exhausting 5-hour car ride, we had to call, text and search for someone. When we finally made contact, we were told it would be another 10 minutes for the room to be cleaned. This delay was frustrating, particularly since we were in need of a bathroom after our long journey.
Accommodations: The property was advertised as a private space, but we discovered that the patio is actually shared. Parking was another issue, with limited space shared with another vehicle. Additionally, a family living upstairs caused constant noise from running, walking, and moving furniture, which disrupted our stay.
Amenities and Issues: Using the washer and dryer caused the power to go out, and we had to find the breaker outside to reset it. The air conditioner did not work. The bathroom was infested with bugs, and a poorly secured soap dispenser caused a mess.
Positive Aspects: The bed was comfortable, and the location is convenient, with public trans within walking distance and attractions a short drive away.
Overall, our experience was less than ideal and not what we had envisioned for our anniversary. It felt more like staying at a friend’s house rather than a professional vacation rental.
