So much to love about Ocean Mist I! Returning and past guests absolutely love Ocean Mist I's location in Mission Beach. Mission Beach is a lively coastal neighborhood in San Diego, California, situated on a narrow sandbar that separates the Pacific Ocean from Mission Bay. This strip of land gives visitors access to both the oceanfront and the calm waters of the bay, offering a diverse range of beachside activities. Property is located steps away from the beach, boardwalk, Belmont Park, and well known restaurants. They also love the open layout plan uniting the kitchen, dining, living area, and balcony because it offers a comfortable space to spend time with family and friends. Another adored feature is the view of Mission Beach and Belmont Park guests can catch from the balcony.

Located two doors from the ocean and on the third floor, this home offers incredible, panoramic views for everyone to enjoy on the large balcony. Enjoy your morning coffee or tea with picturesque white water views and afterwards head out to the sands of Mission Beach, or a fun-filled day at Belmont Park or the amazing craft breweries and restaurants hosted by San Diego.

Ocean Mist I's floor plan is truly unique. The property occupies half of the first floor and the entire third floor. The 3rd floor has the main living space with the kitchen, dining area and living room, private laundry area, 2 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. The 1st floor has a Full/Twin Bunk Combo. The living room and dining area have direct access to the full length view balcony. Dining seating inside is appropriate for 6 persons. But why not enjoy the beautiful sunset and have dinner on the balcony where there is also dining room for 6 persons.

Need a nap after a day in the sun? The master bedroom has a king size bed with attached bathroom. The second bedroom offers a queen bed, private balcony, and bathroom across the hall. The third bedroom is on the first floor and has a Full/Twin Bunk Combo, half bath and opens to the ground floor patio. The hallway has a private interior staircase leading to the 3rd floor.

A private interior staircase and a gated outdoor staircase offer both privacy and security during your stay.  For your outdoor cooking pleasure, Ocean Mist I has its own gated ground floor patio with a built-in gas BBQ and direct patio access to the interior. The outdoor shower lets you rinse off the sand, salt water, and sunscreen of the day.

Planning a family reunion or larger group trip? Both 716 Island Court (Ocean Mist I) and 718 Island Court (Ocean Mist II) can be rented together to create one large living space for an occupancy up to 15. We call this is Ocean Mist III.

There is a shared 4 car garage with designated tandem spaces to park 2 cars each.  Together, these two properties are perfect for big families, birthday celebrations, special anniversaries, and any other occasion that calls for a beach-front stay!

A little confusion on check in as codes were not correct but was able to get that sorted out rather quickly. Great location, easy access to beach, Belmont Park and the patio shower is great for rinsing off. the downstairs bedroom is perfect for kids. Only issue was how scented the laundry was (sheets, pillows, towels). I know some people love the strong scent of detergents but we are sensitive too it. Might keep that in mind. More and more we are finding they scented detergents aren’t good for skin nor allergies. That being said, we still would stay here again and if we can find another family or two would get both units as it is a great location.

Small little things did detract from this being an excellent stay. The house had no tea/ coffee maker as detailed in the description, although it was quickly rectified by the property manager who had to make two journeys to the property once with a kettle and once with a coffee maker. He very kindly included some coffee. The property inside was clean but underneath the outside table there was “ evidence “ of a dog. Just little things that detract from giving 5 stars. We also really felt that a property of this standard would benefit from a toaster. Nearly every other property we have stayed in has this as standard in the kitchen.
