Sun Splashed days, Warm Smiles when you stay in our guest house.

NO matter the season, we have the weather for you. Enjoy sun splashed days in near perfect weather on our wrap around deck, or the poolside patio. We are near the beach, and near the San Diego bay, Sea World and The Zoo. The pool house environment welcomes outdoor style living inside a cool pool house. The rental is private and located on the first floor of a home occupied by the owner who lives on the second floor and is on site to help with anything. But be assured you have all the privacy you want and need.

I can't help but remember a comment from one of our guests who felt right at home in our pool house, He loved the easy California lifestyle that this rental affords whether lounging by the pool or enjoying our calming garden.

The Poolside guest house features a New A/C /Heater unit installed June 2024. Accommodations include 1 bedroom with a queen size bed, and 1 full bathroom. There is also a comfortable pull down Full Murphy Bed in the living room to accommodate up to four guests. The pool is heated with a solar blanket that provides heating when the sun is out especially from April-October.

Enjoy your stay in this Classic California home with up to 700 square feet of space. The large living room/kitchen features an efficiency kitchen, and dining area. Enjoy the outdoor patio year round with a meal prepared on our bbq grille. And... when you're out and about you will see that we are centrally located to most San Diego attractions like Downtown San Diego, Sea World, the Zoo, or fishing on the Bay, and tanning on our nearby beaches.

We are ideal for small families of 4 or 3 or 2 people or a single person who's looking for a cool getaway. For longer stays you can also rely on a washer and dryer that comes with the rental. Our newly renovated high fence offers great privacy around the entire property. Come stay with us in San Diego's beach community of Point Loma/Ocean Beach.

Great stay in a great location!

Met Pete on arrival at check in time. He gave us a run down of the home and the area. If you’re a walker like me and my girlfriend are, there are plenty of spots within a 20-40 minute walk. We went to a great Italian spot, a great sushi spot and the beach. It’s about a 20 minute drive to the zoo. We had zero issues with our stay and would love to book it again if we return to the area. I’d highly recommend this place to anyone visiting San Diego.

What a phenomenal place to stay in San Diego - probably my best VRBO rental yet. Great hosts, great pool, great location, just great. Did I say it was great? Seriously, jump on this if you can - we will definitely be back.

Great Location & Beautiful Property

This was a fantastic location for everything we were looking to do in San Diego. The property is as described and as an added bonus a calming, quiet, private beautiful space to spend time when you are not out and about. Pete was very welcoming and friendly. Wonderful stay

Pete ours host, was wonderful. He was always concerned that we had an excellent stay and pointed out a number of his fav’s in Ocean beach area. We had private access to the pool which was part of the stay at the location, unfortunately we did not get to have much pool time. The location was in reasonable driving distance to Sea world, Downtown excursions, places to shop for souvenirs and mini of the wonderful beach areas.

Best Value in Ocean Beach

Our family of four with 7 and 4 year-old kids had the best time here. Unbeatable price for the most perfect location! Pool was warm and clean, yard was 100% private and an oasis, and the kitchen was very well equipped for all needs. Amazing local hole-in-the-wall restaurants just down the street. Close access to Coronado, SeaWorld, the Zoo, La Jolla, and of course Ocean Beach. Would absolutely stay again.

Great location!

Nice apartment, very private and quiet. Loved having a driveway to park the rental car. It’s a great location, within 15 minutes of everything we wanted to do. If the weather were warmer, we would have used the pool, which was right outside the door. We plan to come back to San Diego and when we do, we’re very likely to stay at Pete’s place. He was a very accommodating host.

Total Relaxation

I now understand all the wonderful ratings this place has received. Pete was a wonderful host. Available to answer any questions and very kind. Such a quiet and serene area. We didn’t use the pool much because we were out seeing the city. Sitting next to the pool was therapeutic as well for morning coffee or evening wind down. Would return here in a heartbeat for another visit.

Best VRBO Ever

I can’t say enough good things about our stay. Pete, the owner, is one of the kindest people we have ever met. He has thought of everything you can possibly need, and is readily available for any questions. Super clean and SO much better than any hotel. Private entrance with the cutest lights. The pool is AMAZING, they even had swim toys that my daughter loved. My husband ended up being unexpectedly hospitalized while on our vacation, Pete went above and beyond to take care of us and make sure we were not stranded if we had to extend our stay. It is close to everything, just minutes to the Marine Depot (the reason for our trip). Cannot recommend enough. You will not regret booking here.

This Place Is Like Home

Our stay was awesome! Pete is an excellent host. Staying there was like staying with family. Our group included two teenage boys. They loved the pool. The temp was always great. The location was perfect as it seemed everything was about 15 minutes away. We enjoyed sight seeing, attending the 2023 Men's World Lacrosse Championship and each day coming back to relax was amazing. Can't say enough good things. We loved it. Thanks Pete!

Awesome property!

Everything about our stay was wonderful. The listing is very accurate. Clean and private. The host, Pete, was generous with his hospitality and provided a great experience for my family. He and his wife even left a cake to celebrate my son's bday. Such a nice surprise. My kids 12 and 4 absolutely loved the pool and slept well on the murphy bed and couch. The bed was comfortable and many linens and towels were provided. Zero complaints. The location is great and absolutely beautiful. I will plan another stay here for sure.

Excellent location and communication

No huge complaints from our end.. this house has everything you needed. The Keurig wasn't functioning properly and Pete immediately brought down a backup so we didn't go without our morning joe! Unfortunately Pete had closed the pool due to cooler temperatures a couple weeks before we arrived..a bit of a bummer that we wish we would have known before we arrived as we were planning to use it.. Even if it was cold. But ultimately we understood the situation and it was a mild bummer. Also you are staying in a pool house/basement so there is a bit of a musty basement type smell but once you were there for a bit you got used to it and it wasn't a huge deal. Overall we were very happy with the location and the amenities and Pete was very nice and accommodating.. We would definitely hit up Pete again if we come back to visit San Diego. Very awesome vacation overall. Adam
