It was an amazing stay, we loved it. Barry was great and very accommodating. We were surprised to find our that it didn't have washer/dryer (totally me not checking the listing) and Barry gave a list of services that can help the laundry, so the workaround was good.

It was so nice to have parking available. The last thing I wanted to deal with after a busy day was to try to find parking! What I loved most though was the coffee that was measured out for one pot to use each day. It saved me from buying a pound of coffee from the grocery store. Barry's place was comfortable and inviting and perfect for myself and two teenagers.

Terrific stay - again.

We've stayed at Barry's place 3-4 times now, and we appreciate it even more after settling in several times. Clean, spacious, great neighborhood, easy access to markets, on and on. Love his coffee! Is it any surprise - we're going back again in a couple of months!

Fantastic Stay

The property was perfect for our family. The living room had a wonderful arrangement, and the couch is indeed perfect for afternoon naps. The host went to great care to setup everything we could need; from measured out coffee to a wonderful booklet about the property and the area. We would gladly stay here again.

Great stay

Beautiful property in quiet neighborhood. Host was incredibly attentive and helpful throughout our stay. Property is conveniently located off major freeways and public transportation making it very convenient to get around San Francisco. Definitely more comfortable and cost-efficient than staying at a hotel—free, on-site parking is a real bonus. Great stay!

Easy and comfortable!

This house is in a great neighborhood. Can walk to Mission. Also, easy to call for an Uber or Waymo. A parking spot is included. The flat was clean, full of light, and in a safe area. Loved having a bidet. Barry was responsive, warm, and even left some goodies. The house is well maintained and it was easy to feel at home. We felt comfortable, and would love to stay here again.

Wonderful Place!

This place was so nice and comfortable! It had everything we needed and Barry even had special ground coffee for each day we stayed. Having a place to park our car was great as we took public transportation to see all we wanted to see. I would highly recommend this place. The neighborhood was quite at night and the street was very family friendly.

Cozy, Charming, Comfortable and Clean

This was an incredible find! The property was spotless and in fantastic condition. The neighborhood was quiet and safe. And within walking distance of grocery markets, cafes, public transit and parks. We felt perfectly safe walking around. Our host communicated clear check-in and check-out instructions. And made sure we were accommodated during our trip. He provided toiletries, coffee and all kitchen accessories we could ever need. This is such a beautiful property, we couldn’t have been happier with our stay!

A winner!

We had a wonderful visit. Barry, the host, is so helpful, well-organized,and responsive. He’s the best host I have had. Casa de Marlo is very comfortable and has all the things one needs. If you’re visiting San Francisco, I would highly recommend this lovely, charming townhouse.

Clean, comfortable, and convenient

Barry provided clear instructions and a pleasant environment for our stay. The apartment is clean and spacious, and it was easy to access all points of interest in San Francisco and beyond. We slept well thanks to the comfortable beds and the quiet neighborhood. During a short power outage, Barry proactively made sure we had lights, a charging station, and extra blankets. Highly recommended for families.

Spacious, comfortable and clean

We had a quiet Thanksgiving weekend in this lovely, well appointed, older home in what seems to be a genuine working class SF neighborhood. We didn't need a car, and were fine using Uber and also walking to the nearby BART station. There are a lot of tasty cheap eateries nearby including a few good tacquerias, and a pupuseria.

Great place to stay in SF !!!!!

We enjoyed our stay in this lovely, very comfortable, exceptionally clean home. It was a great location, very large, safe, clean, and charming, and Barry was a wonderful host. He left delicious pre measured coffee for every morning, chocolates, helpful instructions, and many other amenities to make our stay perfect. Barry was truly committed to making our time in his home a great experience. Perks were driveway parking, and the coolest toilet with heated seat and bidet! Thank you Barry! We want to come back!

This was our second visit to Barry’s apartment, and we just had the best time! The apartment is clean, spacious, well equipped, and up-to-date. The neighborhood is wonderful for just strolling. Beautifully kept homes line all the streets. There’s easy access by walking to grocery stores, and all sorts of commerce. Quick access to light rail and Bart make travel anywhere into the city quick and pleasant. And Barry is always accessible and helpful. We can’t wait for another opportunity to return!

Medical trip

Very comfortable house. Kitchen well stocked. Bathroom towels very soft. Host check in to make sure we had everything we needed. Coffee was great and little touches to make stay comfortable were appreciated. I was there for surgery and the space, cleanliness and comfort were just what I needed. We had a work/computer area as well. Made my trip less stressful. Thank you

Thoughtful & Quiet

A lovely very clean home. Barry had thoughtful touches such as premeasured coffee to make a pot a day for our stay, extra clean jackets if needed & a heated bidet! A very quiet neighborhood as well. Barry was very email communicative checking to see if all was well. The SUPER EASY checkout list was emailed the day before checkout & I am not good at checking my email! And of course, the parking space was the cherry on top! We’d stay again👍

I can't say enough how impressed and pleased we were about our week here. A beautiful apartment, very large, very clean and up to date. The kitchen had everything we needed as well. Barry, as host, had the perfect balance between attentiveness and respect for privacy. The few questions I wrote to him were answered within an hour, usually within minutes. And the neighborhood, Mission Terrace, is unbelievingly charming. Quiet with neat, brightly colored row houses. Lots of excellent eateris close by. Light rail and subway stops are 2 blocks away, so zipping into the city was easy. We can't wait to go back!

SF Treasure - Beautiful Homes

Barry has done an outstanding job preserving this beautiful SF home. Picture's don't adequately reveal her beauty. Architecture is one of the best things about SF and I loved the original built-in buffet, phone nook, and hardwood floors. The kitchen and bathroom tile are beautiful. Barry has thoughtfully provided incredible amenities throughout the home. Our family enjoyed playing the records as we ate dinner or played games in the dining room. Bedrooms have lovely furniture and very comfortable. This treasure added such value to our trip to SF.

SF charm

The home was bigger than expected, and the concave high ceiling in the living room gave us a great deal of spaciousness. Plus, the owner provided literally dozens of simple amenities, such as dozens of teas, shampoo & conditioner, easily accessible plug outlets, etc., and handy little notes, such as where the extra towels were located, all there to make our stay easy and enjoyable. The home was very clean, and I got a big brownie point from my wife for picking out such an immaculately clean place. My oldest son, my wife and I stayed there for an extended weekend, and we all agreed how comfortable the mattresses were to sleep on, and just how relaxing the home was to stay at. We did not know the owner, yet we could just tell how thoughtful he is by the way he has the place set up. The place is a vintage home, yet the owner appears to be updating it throughout for today's living and comfort needs. The kitchen has new and updated appliances and counters, yet also has that quaint feel as the cabinets are probably old, yet in great shape. You can feel the warmth and charm of this "old house" after a makeover. We picked the place because of proximity (to family that live nearby), and the place turned out to be a great find. We are very appreciative of the place and the owner, and encourage anyone needing a great place to stay to consider this place. Scott & Paula

Great place for family stay

This home was a great spot for our family of four — two adults and two teens. We did some college tours and explored the city. I loved that it had parking and was close to the highway and the airport and allowed us easy access to the rest of the city. The owner was super responsive with communication and I love that coffee was available and the home has a kitchen with everything you need. Would love to stay again.
