Comfy Studio Close To Subway STR4734

This is a very nicely done studio with its own separate entrance, kitchenette, bedroom and bathroom. We have Apple TV, Netflix, Hulu and Amazon Video. Very quiet and very safe. We live above but we are very quiet.

You can access the unit with the lockbox code. You don't need to interact with us unless you would like to. You'll have access to the unit as well as the on-site laundry.

Forest Hill is a lovely neighborhood of homes built in the 1925's. It is in the middle of SF and just West of Twin Peaks. It is mainly owner-occupied, an upper-middle-class area that is safe and secure with lots of street parking. As in its name, lots of trees!

The MUNI subway stop is 3 blocks away and will take you to the center of town in 15 minutes. Very easy.

Excellent for a little get away

My husband and I spent the weekend in SF and stayed in this cute little studio space. Access to public transport was so convenient and there are several good places to eat within walking distance. The owners were friendly and responsive. The space was clean and met all of our needs. Definitely recommend!

Great Host!

Mike is an excellent host -- quick to respond to questions and very thoughtful. The apartment is in a nice neighborhood and close to Golden Gate Park and other SF treats.

Perfect place to explore San Francisco

We were able to explore San Francisco, visit the Napa Valley, discover Alcatraz and spend some time at the Beach, all from this cozy little condo. We loved the place as well as the neighborhood. Easy to park in the streets.

Short get away

Studio perfect for the trip. Very clean and completely as described. It is a quite neighbor but close enough to public transportation or short Uber rides to everything around.

It is a small apartment in the basement with a very small bathroom. I think the pictures in the ad do not quite correspond to the truth. Otherwise the location is great, it is quiet and safe.

Michael’s studio was a great base for exploring the city, close to public transport links and in a quiet residential area. He kindly allowed us to leave luggage the day we were leaving until later that afternoon which was incredibly helpful

Cozy Studio with great transit to the city

The studio had everything you need to be happy, a nice big bed and fridge a comfy couch and even entertainment. The next metro station is a 5 minute walk away and takes you to all the major stops in the city in the manner of 10-15 minutes. There are also ample spots to eat close to the studio (burger, french, dumplings) and also a really nice supermarket (mollie stones).

Decent cheap place to stay

Comfortable enough, accessible to everything, easy check in and check out process. The sofa folds out to a twin bed; we didn’t figure that out until the second night. Shower water pressure is low but doable. Host makes it clear that you aren’t paying for a cleaning service so we weren’t surprised the countertop was a little sticky—that might be an issue for some but, at this price, no biggie for us. Thanks for the accommodations 😊

Ok, Friendly host but smelled

The host was very friendly and responsive. The location was perfect and the check in process was smooth. Some negatives I have are the apartment smelt wierd. Im not sure what the smell was but there was something nasty smelling. The carpet was quite dirty and could do with a deep clean. The furniture was quite old, the bed and sofa creaked and the bed sank in the middle. Also, the bed is advertised as a king size bed but was only double size. The apartment is in the basement of a house so it lacked daylight. Lastly, the people that lived in the upstairs apartment were noisy. Overall, the stay was ok, I would recommend this place to stay because of the location and friendliness of the host. The apartment could do with a deep clean to remove the pungent smell and the furniture could be upgraded.

unclean and stinky

There was different furniture than what was listed in the ad. The carpet was filthy. Mildew on every window sill and mold/mildew on silk flowers that were in the windows. The entire apartment smelled of rancid sponge the entire stay because the kitchen area was given a good once over with a rancid sponge prior to our arrival...very uncool. Greasy stove top, dusty fridge top, crusty toaster, piss in toilet upon arrival, hair on bathroom floor...FILTHY apartment. Oh, and no window coverings on bedroom window...nice. Cleaning fee was too much for the size of the space, and yeah....filthy af.

Petit studio en sous sol. Agréable, situé à 10 minutes à pied du métro. Nécessiterait un rafraîchissement des murs et remplacement de la moquette qui est très sale et nettoyage sol poussiéreux. Sanitaires propres. Petite cuisine pratique.

Gut, mit der Bahn war man schnell am Hafen. Nicht den Bus nutzen, dass dauert zu lange. Man hatte eine kleine Unterkunft für sich, konnte aber die Waschmaschine und den Trockner benutzen.

Süsse Wohnung, tolle Gegend

Die Unterkunft liegt super, in der Nähe von Busverbindungen Richtung Golden Gate Park und Bahnverbindung Richtung City..alles ist spätestens nach 30 Minuten zu erreichen. In der Nähe befinden sich fussläufig Restaurants, Drogerie, Supermarkt und cafes. Die Unterkunft ist gemütlich, alles ist vorhanden. Lediglich die Dusche hat nicht sooo viel Druck. Das Appartment ist mit allem ausgestattet.

San Francisco can at times be a bit stressful for us country folks. This was a perfect place to step out of the traffic and rigorous schedule and just relax. It is located in a quiet and very safe neighborhood with resteraunts and shops within walking distance. We really enjoyed our time there.

A week visiting our son

This property was perfectly adequate for our stay, as we just needed a base with basic cooking facilities. (Our 4th visit your SF). It was well appointed, although we were disappointed that the 2 recliner chairs had been replaced with a 2 seater sofa. This was rather small and one of us often ended up on cushions on the floor. The kitchen area had all that we required and we found the size of the shower room perfectly fine (unlike some comments). TV worked well and was easy to use. We did hire a car which was easy to park, but often walked, used Ubers or the Muni. Location was great and would recommend it to others.

Convenient and pleasant

Our family visitors from down South enjoyed the rental that is just a few houses up the block from our house. We don't have enough sleeping space for four, so they enjoyed the rental like our third bedroom. They found it totally comfortable and pleasant. Thank you.

Good Value

This was an excellent location for us and a great value. Cleanliness was a bit of an issue, especially in the bathroom. Bathroom could also use a paint job. Instruction booklet needs to be updated re WiFi and TV. Would have appreciated having paper towels and tissues available. Available laundry facilities always seemed to be in use by the owner. Bedroom and kitchen were clean and very adequate for our needs.

Les + : -Bon point de chute sur San Francisco -Petit F1 mignon, propre, bien équipé et agréable situé en demi-sous-sol avec petites fenêtres donnant sur le rez de jardin. Le quartier est paisible. - à moins 10 mn à pied du métro Forest Hill. -Bonne literie. -Propriétaires très discrets malgré leur habitation juste au dessus. Les - : Le coin repas composé d'une console et de 2 tabourets est petit. - aurions souhaité un emplacement un peu plus près du centre ville.
