"The hotel is perfectly located by the skislopes, short walking distance and only 1 minute by car but, the hotel is dated, lacks of TLC, it's advertised that has swimming pool available but apparently they shut it in March, that was one of the reason I booked this hotel, to use the pool and the spa facilities. The shower had hair from previous guests... the tv wasn't working and dinner which was included was below average. The staff was very nice and tried to do their best but unfortunately the facility for me only served the purpose for 1 night stay but it wasn't great."
"This was a great choice for our too-brief stopover in Cuneo, en route to Ferrovia delle Meraviglie; Cuneo to Ventimiglia, next morning. We arrived by train at 10.36 pm & Hotel Victoria is an easy, quick, flat stroll from the station. Very comfortable mattress, not super hard like most we had in Italy, we slept very well, yay! Excellent bathroom & shower. Breakfast was also very good, with excellent coffee, savoury, sweet & in-between options. Reception staff efficient & friendly."
Amazing Villa in Piedmont, Italy, Views, Wine Country, Pool, Mountains, WiFi
10/10 Excellent
"Villa San Lorenzo is an absolutely stunning villa. We were 4 couples staying in the main house, and each suite was spacious and comfortable with its own ensuite bathroom with large walk-in showers. The renovations are spectacular from the moment you walk in the door; two storey floor to ceiling windows off the dining room on the main floor and living room on the second floor. The huge kitchen is fully equipped with absolutely everything you need to prepare meals, with new appliances, more dishes than you’ll ever need, and again, the renovation is beautiful. The grounds outside are lovely and well maintained and the pool is very inviting. Unfortunately we were there in October and so did not have the courage to use it! We also loved the location - very private and peaceful, yet close to wineries and areas we wanted to visit. Wifi was perfect throughout the villa for those of us who had to do some work while away. Clay and Erika were fantastic to work with in planning our time at San Lorenzo as well as being available 24/7 during our stay. Erika was delightful, and greeted us upon our arrival with a lovely cake, a bottle of local and delicious olive oil, and freshly baked bread. We all loved our time here and highly recommend it. You will love the villa, as well as the very personal touch that Clay and Erika add to it. "
Restored 17th Century Villa with Swimming Pool, Chef's Kitchen+WiFi+AC
10/10 Excellent
"We came to experience the food and wine of the region. The house and hosts were amazing! The location is great for quick trips to Barolo, Barbaresco and Alba. The house is better than the pictures show. There is every possible kitchen tool for the foodie's in our group. The rooms are large and having ensuites in ever room was a plus. Clay and Erika were so helpful with booking suggestions and dinning suggestions and they responded to messages within minutes. The views are postcard worthy. If you are coming to Alta Langhe for the food and wine, this house and these hosts are a definite recommendation from our group."
"Overnight stay as part of a longer trip. Checking in was straightforward. The room was a good size, but the ensuite quite small. Mini fridge was provided and free parking at the front of the hotel. A few minutes walk to restaurants."
