Truly a wonderful property. The staff was amazing on all levels, and above and beyond to your needs. The pool was massive and clean- great staff at the bar area as well. All in all, a wonderful experience for our time in Belize!

The exterior property was very nice. The rooms were old, needing an update with new furniture, curtains, bedding. Lighting in the room was low. Complimentary coffee in the lobby would be nice. Our room did not have a coffee maker. Nice pool area, nice seating around the facility. I understand it is in new management and look forward to staying there again to see improvements. It was worth the stay.

Just ok

Good room. Terrible restaurant. Coffee was terrible. Pool was nice. However, loud music on Saturday until 3am! Could not sleep. Supposedly the owner threw a party! Hmmm. Not so nice for his guests. One night, went for dinner at 6:30 and the chef left. No nearby restaurants.

This is our second stay at Rumors. Overall, the property is clean, but definitely in need of maintenance. The shower could use some remodeling and fresh paint. The pool, which use to be an amazing infinity pool, was closed in and you no longer get a view, so it was a bit disappointing. However the staff is nice, the music and the drinks are still great, and it's a chill place to hang out. There's road construction going on, so there was dust everywhere, though that isnt the property's fault. We were basically looking for air conditioning and a place to stay out of the sun and rest. We got it!

Elmer and his staff were very accommodating. He scheduled our trip to Tikal which was well worth it and also told us how to get to Xunantunich. Ulysses and Nyellie went above and beyond to get our meals ordered correctly. The pool is gorgeous and bar service is available. Our favorite meal was a three course dinner celebrating Valentine’s Day. We highly recommend Rumors for those looking for a great place to relax.

Fine if you don't plan on staying around the room too much. Disconnected service, owner is selling the property and it clearly shows. Poor communication between staff and guests. Not worth the money for a 'resort.'

Like: Staff were friendly and helpful. Grounds were clean and pleasing to the eye. Room was clean and comfortable with AC and TV. Dislike: Music was played far too loud most of the day from the pool area, and sometimes restaurant too. Food and drinks were not very good. I ordered a fish sandwich and got fried chicken instead but ate it anyway because I was very hungry, and bloody mary tasted like it was mostly concentrated lemon juice - undrinkable.

We stayed at Rumors for 7 nights and it really felt like home. We are US 67 years old, very fit,love to drink and drove from BZE with a rented car. The staff were excellent especially Joshua, Ulysses, and Elmer. As we moved through Belize looking back on our travels this was the best equipped with amenities such as cups, coffee, water, etc. Rumors is situated on a hill looking out at Guatemala maybe 30 miles away with a great view just a mile or so away from San Ignacio. There was always a cooling breeze. Food and drinks were very moderately priced and good. Especially after doing excursions (Tikal, ATM) all day. The pool was great. Some local families come to use the pool during the day which makes it great and exuberant. Saturday night Karaoke is a hoot with all the international guests! They dug up all these gypsy songs for some Chicago based Romanians. Hector, the lovely low key owner does his own Karaoke on Sunday afternoons which is mostly Spanish for families. Can't wait to go back!
