"After reading the reviews I had my doubts about this resort. I must say this place was great. They had plenty of places to eat, multiple pools to cool off and enough Imperial (beer) for everyone. Staff was humble and really nice. Staff spoke english and spanish so communication wasnt a problem. They also have an area to rent cars or excursions so you can visit other areas close to Puntarenas. I have no complaints about this place besides the wait time to check in other than that I would bring family here on my next visit. Pura vida! "

"Excellent property with friendly staffs and good restaurant onsite.Downtown is just a block away if you wanna explore. It is a wooden cabin style rooms. All building are two stored with no elevator. That is the only thing you need to remember if you can't climb stairs. I love the ambience of the room and surroundings."

"Hotel Belmar was magnificent! Everything about it was pristine. The service was so friendly. Staff were so genuinely kind, helpful, & welcoming. They upgraded our room & the view from the balcony was gorgeous. I really cant say enough great things about this place. We ate at the restaurants & everything was delicious. Location was perfect to the cloud forest reserve. "

"This was our favorite stay during our two week road trip to Costa Rica. The resort is a quick drive into town while still being removed enough to feel immersive and peaceful. We saw so many birds without even leaving the property and enjoyed watching the hummingbirds and friends by the breakfast porch area. The food and drinks we had at the resort’s restaurant were fantastic and even as vegetarians we had a nice variety of options to choose from. The room was spacious and clean, and we also enjoyed walking the trails around the resort. This would be our top place to stay again if/when we return!"

"Have stayed here before several times and they have done and are continuing to do a lot of improvements. The entire staff from checking in , kitchen and wsit staff, grounds crew have all been very friendly and efficient. The grounds crew does a fantastic job of keeping the jungle and it's critters from literally taking over. There is a lot of wildlife to be seen just walking around and exploring the grounds. The food and beverages have all been very good. I'm staying in 1 of the 2 Tree House rooms and would higjly recommend choosing these rooms. Their balcony"s literally look over the Tarcolito stream and the jungle across the stream is alive with squaking Parrots and Macaws. Truly one of my favorite spots in Costa Rica."
