"Food was very repetitious. Breakfast was good. Dinner at Don Gus was really good. Pools were great. Incredible view from our room. Nice grounds. Good bed. Sad pillows. The Friday night Mexican Fiesta was terrific. Multiple minor issues wasted a lot of our time…wrist bands quit working 3 times - had to go to front desk and wait in line to get them rekeyed. Batteries in the safe died 3 times - we had to be present in the room when maintenance came. Each time, it took them 1/2 hour to arrive, and each time they put in used batteries. Air conditioner so noisy we got no sleep first night…took 2 hours to change rooms in the morning. Only one elevator working, and it always stopped on the 4th floor before it would take us to the 5th. Building needs an upgrade."

"The hotel has a very good location right on the beach. The beach, kiosks and chairs are groomed every day. Food/drinks service on the beach can get a bit slow if the pool area gets busy at lunch time. Breakfast was the best meal from in the all-inclusive for us, followed by lunch, dinner was a bit flat, but we found good restaurant choices within walking distance. The lady that ran the games in the pool was a blast and the entertainment in the evenings was fine too. All the staff are very professional, friendly and helpful. The room and all common areas were very clean but they're all a bit dated."
