"Cool boutique hotel in a great location"

"The apartment was spacious and comfortable. The building was very nice with a nice seating area and complimentary refreshments. The location was good for the train station - an easy 15 minute walk. The only downside was the noise on a night. We stayed 7 nights and the last 3 (Thurs, Fri, Sat) were very noisy into the early hours of the morning. There is only one small bar nearby but the streets of the old town are narrow which seemed to amplify the noise as groups of people were walking and talking. We were prepared with earplugs as any city break has the potential for noise. If it hadnt been for that it would've been perfect. "

"Th location of the hotel/apartment a was excellent and within walkable distance of most of the main sights. There are plenty of bars and restaurants nearby. Breakfast was in the building next door and was good, maybe more variety of cheeses and fruits would be good. The premium room we booked was standard size with a lovely private patio with table and 2 chairs, plus 2 extra chairs and 2 plants. There was a sea view, however with the caveat that it also overlooked a derelict large building and a car park below. This did not really impact our enjoyment of using the patio though. We enjoyed our stay here and would definitely recommend staying at Plaza de la Luz when in Cadiz !"

"The day staff was extremely rude. Our booking clearly showed our check out time as noon, around which I booked our departure. The desk staff insisted we had to be out first at 11 and then by 11:30 after I showed him my booking. We has to cut our site being short to make it back before 11 as I didn't want them touching our bags. The desk manager then was screaming at us to leave atv11:30. I understand Spain has their own rules, but he was beyond rude. Also the hotel has no AC and if you open the windows to balcony it is not secure. I know people who were robbed in this circumstance while they were asleep in the room. I would definitely avoid when warmer. But the staff rudeness was the real deal breaker."

"Decent location but difficult car access in old town, the hotel has limited services but is clean and adequate for a place to sleep."

"They went the extra mile to make us welcome and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent. Water and coffee available at all times. We had to leave before breakfast, so they provided a small sack lunch for us to take with us. If you want great service, we strongly recommend them. We'll definitely be going back!!!"

"The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Alicia was very nice and helpful. I enjoyed my stay very much. Excellent location, only a 3-minute walk to the beach. No parking onsite which is typical in Spain, but there is a public lot which was about a 20-minute walk and €14 per day. Several nearby dining options and a few small stores to buy snacks. It was about a 30-minute walk to the cathedral but lots to see along the way. Solo traveler and would highly recommend. "
