This large vacation house is situated at the edge of the El Yunque National Rainforest on 6+ acres of tropical rainforest jungle. Private gated access, on a small mountain just 1 mile from PR3. Large private patio and 10x20' salt water swimming pool constructed on the mountainside. THE POOL IS USED BY GUESTS OF RENTAL HOUSE ONLY, NOT SHARED WITH ANYONE ELSE.

This is not a cramped condo or apartment with many neighbors. You will be in a safe mountainside tropical jungle setting, in a large concrete house, with plenty of room to explore and enjoy!

The property is close to El Yunque National Forest, Luquillo (Monserrate) Beach and kiosks, Carabali Rainforest Park, Hacienda Siesta Allegre, and just 20 expressway miles from San Juan. The ferry terminal to Culebra & Vieques is 23 miles.

Bedrooms: NO BUNK BEDS!
King bed in master suite with walk-in closet and separate bathroom with large shower. The second bedroom offers a comfortable queen, a futon, and twin mattress for a variety of sleeping options. A queen bed is in the third bedroom. Second Bathroom is at end of hallway, near bedrooms 2 and 3.
Two Pack N Plays are available for traveling babies. A high chair is also available.
The couch in living room contains a queen bed.
Linens, pillows, and towels (including beach towels) are provided.

The house has accommodated many gatherings with friends and family sharing in the food preparation in the open kitchen with large island, with many guests gravitating to the large patio, or the open two stall garage in rainy weather.

Open floor plan and spacious rooms are located on one level, making it easy for elderly or toddlers to get around. No steps! Pool just off the patio has an iron security gate.

If you want to stay where you have all the amenities of home yet are near many attractions the island has to offer, reserve this home!

Ceiling fans and air conditioners in each bedroom and living room.

Full solar system ensures you won't have any power blackouts, which is a common occurrence on the island, while you are on vacation.

1,000 gallon water reservoir makes sure you will have a shower when you need it, regardless of the inconsistent utilities that occur frequently on the island. And yes, a hot shower!

Roku smart tvs in each bedroom, dvd player, assortment of movies, and wi-fi throughout.

We want your vacation to be a wonderful time and can help with anything you need before or during your stay. Hosts reside in separate 2nd floor unit with separate parking and entrance. Hosts do not monitor guests. With 8-10" of concrete between the floors, noise has not been an issue. See previous guest reviews.

Awesome Experience

I stayed at La Lomita for the second year in a row because I enjoyed my stay there so much the first time. Clean, beautiful house with all the amenities you could want with a great view and atmosphere. Kim and Hector are great hosts with excellent communication. Would definitely stay there again.

Beautiful Property!

We had a very nice stay at this property. The house was incredibly well stocked, communication was excellent, and we had a great time staying here! The pool was a big hit, as was the outdoor seating area. The drive can be a little steep, but totally doable. You can tell the property is well taken care of! 10/10

Beautiful property in a great location

Amazing hosts, beautiful property and views. Our 6 year old loved the pool and had to be dragged out daily but could often be lured with the promise of a lizard hunt down the picturesque driveway (calling it a driveway doesn't do it justice, it's more of a hiking trail). Hector's dogs were frequent welcome guests, the happiest dogs I've ever seen. Would absolutely visit again if we have the opportunity.

My family had a great time at La Lomita. Hector and Kim were great and responsive. House was spacious for our family of 4. We enjoyed also, meeting the dogs and kitties.

Fantastic

My wife and I with our 5 kids stayed here and it amazing. House was clean and comfortable. The view and location was breathtaking and peaceful and gives you the full rainforest experience. Would absolutely choose this place again.

Wonderful stay!

We enjoyed our time. Comfortable and safe location. the pool and our daily visit by Daisy (dog) was lovely. The house is well equipped with beach towels and coolers and other amenities. Our host Hector was great.

Wonderful home in paradise

It was a beautiful home. Hector was a gracious host and we enjoyed visiting with him. The views were a slice of paradise and the home was clean and well equipped. My kids loved the pool. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Great place to stay!

Everything was just as described on the listing. Kim and Hector were very responsive to text. The location was great for El Yunque as it is close to it. Close to grocery stores and restaurants. We went to Fajardo, Old San Juan, and several different beaches. Nice pool and we had a covered place to park our cars. Very handy to have a washer and a dryer. The night sounds are amazing. You are in the middle of the forest. We felt at home. Thank you!!!

Comfy home in a beautiful location

Safe and comfortable home in a beautiful location. Close enough to beaches, rainforest, grocery stores, food, and natural attractions to make it convenient, but just far enough out to make it a wonderful refuge to escape to at the end of the day. The property is lovely and very well maintained and the hosts are attentive and very easy to communicate with. The salt water pool was divine. If we were traveling to this area again, we would 100% come back to this home.

Wonderful

We had a fantastic time staying at Hector's property. It is probably the best equipped vacation home we have stayed at. The drawers and cabinets are labeled so you can find whatever you need with ease. The property is gorgeous and guests are provided with an immense amount of recommendations for things to do, restaurants, etc. Nice large living accommodations and Hector and his furry friends could not have been sweeter. We definitely hope to visit again. We will be recommending this property to anyone we know who plans to visit Puerto Rico.

Beautiful, tranquil, secluded, safe property. Everything you need to enjoy your stay is there. Host Hector was very friendly, helpful and accommodating. Loved the beautiful rainforest setting. The dogs and cats on the property made it feel like home. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay even though the weather wasn’t the greatest at the time we were there. Will probably be returning at a different time of year when Hector suggested the weather is usually better.

Beautiful property with pool

Easy to find, but the roads are steep at times. Communication was a breeze with Kim, who responded to texts promptly. Having an app to open the gate up on arrival made it very smooth, and a code for the door as well -- no keys to keep track of. Privacy was not an issue, the whole floor was for our use, as well as the pool, even though Hector was on the floor above and close by if we needed him. I LOVED the foliage and wildlife we found when exploring. Thank you for the perfect stay!

This was the way

This VRBO was the way. Period. Hector and Kim gave a very welcoming feeling being introduced into the home. Although we didn’t have the privilege to meet Kim, Hector was very kind and accommodating. We saw him 2-3 times as he was passing by which, although he was very nice, it was nice to not feel heavily monitored. The home was well furnished, the couch was comfy, the beds were great, the pool was amazing! Thank you from Boston, MA!

Just book it, you won’t regret it!

This house, location, and the hosts were absolutely perfect! We were within driving distance to everything from Old San Juan, Beaches, rainforest, restaurants, Ralph’s grocery- and after long days out we came back to the most peaceful, stunning property with a great pool. The house is clean- and I’m very picky about that, in fact I spent hours upon hours looking for a place to stay before choosing this one- stocked with everything you need for cooking or grilling, beds were so comfortable, always had water and electricity. Hector was very helpful, and our teens loved his dogs. Kim was easily reachable via text, check-in was seamless and she sent everything we needed to know ahead of time. This was such an amazing trip and this VRBO made it so much better. We will definitely be back.

Awesome stay

We had 5 adult family members and the house had everything for all of us. Hector was helpful, pleasant and so knowledgeable about the area. Although he lived upstairs we never felt like he was intruding in any way. The property was absolutely beautiful. The driveway is pretty steep but navigable easily as it is full concrete. If you love watching rainstorms this is the best view to see them. Hector has 3 little doggies that would come out to say good morning every day but didn’t hang out. They were the sweetest pups. The house was exactly as described and we were happy we chose it.

Great house with view to the Yunque Rainforest

House is great. Many details and accessories in kitchen, and bedrooms as well as for going to the beach. Hector was there to help for any issues we had. The pool is great and the view is fascinating. The best thing about the house is the driveway, full of beautiful trees. On the down side: Main bed was not super confortable, too soft. Also, the internet system to open and close the gate was pretty cool but it was a problem for us, since non-wifi internet was an issue being foreigners. Overall, it was a great experience and we recommend the house.

Vacation paradise

We took our 3 adult kids and daughter-in-law to PR for vacation. They never visited PR. Well, from the moment we walked into this home, we fell in love. It smelled so good. It was clean, and very spacious. We felt right at home. The pool was clean and water was nice and clear. We enjoyed sitting outside looking at the rainforest and listening to all the beautiful sounds of coquis and birds. The owners are very friendly and accommodating. They answered all our questions in a timely order before and during the trip. We also fell in love with Kimberly's glass art. We all bought a piece from her. We would love to rent this home again if we ever go back to PR.
