"After reading the reviews I had my doubts about this resort. I must say this place was great. They had plenty of places to eat, multiple pools to cool off and enough Imperial (beer) for everyone. Staff was humble and really nice. Staff spoke english and spanish so communication wasnt a problem. They also have an area to rent cars or excursions so you can visit other areas close to Puntarenas. I have no complaints about this place besides the wait time to check in other than that I would bring family here on my next visit. Pura vida! "

"Staff here was absolutely wonderful. Thank you all for your help with our luggage. lots of stairs in this place. The Infinity pool was beautiful. At the pool bar they make incredible caiperaina. The restaurant was delicious. And the staff there was incredible as well. We had two different rooms here because of the stair situation. And both of them were so beautiful. The road coming up here is very rocky with lots of potholes so a four-wheel drive would be best. Parking is at a minimal for their guests. Had some issues with that for sure. We go in and out a lot. "

"This is an outstanding property, I'm glad to say it exceeded my expectations. Paquera CR isn't the tourist mecca, IE an all inclusive. If you want to enjoy CR with a local feel and experience this is a place for you. The owners were responsive to questions and w/recommendations sheet to go. We loved CURU and the wildlife refuge, great hiking trails, great beach.."

"We loves the room with a great view of the ocean on one side and the marinas on the othe side. We had a fully funcional kitchen. It was a great location for driving to many excursiones in the surrounding area. "

"Beware that this is 4.5 hours away from the San Jose Airport! They do NOT inform anyone of this and you need to get to the Ferry to cross over to Tambor which is not 24/7 You need to plan very carefully so you don't lose a day like I did and so many others did that I met at the Hotel. They are also very aware of this and have done nothing about it!! The buffet food is ok. Not the best, but not the worst. You will find something. The Italian ala carte restaurant is excellent! Alsoif you don't speak Spanish, you will be disappointed during the nightly show as they only speak spanish :( The actual entertainment is great though. The funny parts inbetween though, all in spanish so you will be at a loss at what everyone is laughing about"

"We always enjoy Chiquita and we do bring lot of our client and family You always have great worker This time the breakfast quality was not that great Then we propose the tour for the lumino to our clients 40$ per person was way deceiving for what our client saw Then it seems that you are short in employes Could not order drink in front of the lagoon For sunset Had to go at the bar Small things that we never had to complain about before Just saying it to help you keeping the quality standing of Chiquita We love your place and enjoy every time "

"We were surprised at our room - this is a place we could live in. It has a beautiful view of the ocean and the tidal slough, it's quiet, it has a nice kitchen, and is laid out well. The restaurant was nice and the staff friendly. We had 2 pools to choose from, and took advantage of them every day. The grounds were very pretty and well-maintained. It was easy to get in and out and conventient to stores and sights in Puntarenas."
