"Overall, we had a comfortable stay at the Mission Inn. The room was clean, and the customer service really stood out. Elleana was especially helpful. I was arriving late, so I called ahead to let them know I'd be checking in after the 10:00 PM office closing time. She explained that the office would be closed, but I could retrieve my room key from the security lockbox. She texted me the passcode, explained the current parking situation, and even let me know what my options were if the designated parking was full. At checkout, she also gave us a few recommendations on places to visit around town. She was friendly, welcoming, and made the entire experience much smoother. There were only a couple of issues that kept this from being a five-star stay. Although the room itself was clean, there was a strong foul odor coming from the air conditioner as soon as we turned it on, it smelled like urine. Because of that, we ended up turning the A/C off and sleeping without it. Also, the room didn't have a hair dryer. I'm not sure if guests are expected to request one from the front desk, but if that's the case, it would have been helpful if that had been mentioned during check-in. Despite those minor issues, we enjoyed our stay, appreciated the excellent service from Elleana, and would consider staying here again."
