The Avenue Inn was an easy affordable clean and safe place to stay to visit San Luis Obispo and the area. Walkable to restaurants and some of the sites in town. It’s no frills but it met all my needs. The people are very nice too.

we had a nice stay! Staff was nice. Only complaint was being on the first floor- very noisy from the top rooms. Heard talking, squeaking of floors, stomping. Kept us up at night. But the area was really nice! Tolerable for the 1 night we stayed for the price.

What a great little hotel! It’s centrally located, just a 5 minute walk to downtown SLO where there’s tons of cute shops and great restaurants. Our room was clean, comfy and very quiet and very reasonably priced. I will definitely be staying here again when I return to SLO!

It’s a perfect basic motel. Price is very reasonable, room is clean and has everything you need. Parking lot seems safe. Their rules are a bit and flexible if you want to check in early or leave late, but that is understandable. $25 for an early check in before 3 PM and $50 an hour for up to two hour late checkout.
