Welcome to Rio Tarcoles, where tourists stop to view these ancient dinosaurs.
I've heard a few stories about this place, one being that locals sometimes toss live chickens off the bridge to put on a "show". I also read somewhere that a drunk man was bet $20 to swim across the river...and he did, but didn't quite make it.
If you are at all amazed by crocodiles, this place is crazy cool. I've been here a couple of times and still get excited by the number of crocs there are. Once in awhile you'll see a stork slowly walk up to a croc, almost as if he's doing a dare, and the croc will slowly swim towards him. You get your camera ready waiting for something to go down. The stork usually smartens up and flys off though.

We were very close to the wonderful Playa Blanca, which we spent every day at. My college-age children loved it and so did my wife and I. Easy beach access and lots of restaurants within walking distance. Surfing lessons within walking distance also! The home is clean and the property is maintained daily. "This is top on our list for vacations! The house was perfect and I would highly recommend the dinner on arrival night. Zipping was breathtaking, paired with the lunch it was a perfect day out. I would highly recommend staying here and coming back for a visit."

"We reserved a room and spent 7 hours on the property before our midnight flight. We're so happy we did. We walked the trails on the property, enjoyed the pool, and had a lovely dinner in the restaurant. We thought the menu was great and reasonabley priced. It felt like a bonus vacation day."

"I absolutely loved this resort. We got lucky and most of our stay we were one of the few at the resort. The breakfast was amazing, I recommend the complimentary breakfast, it was HUGE and so delicious. The views were absolutely beautiful from the balcony. Staff were all super nice and friendly. I would love this place even more if they had happy hour at the restaurant on the resort. All in all 10/10 experience, I would highly recommend this place. Close to the strip, so many food options near by, night life and super markets. "
