The Nest is located in Lanciole a 1300's castle with etruscans origin. The hamlet over the centuries has been the scene of numerous battles, especially during the war between Pistoia (Firenze) and Lucca and later when it was the only one of the surrounding villages to stand up for the Ghibelline faction, but it has always been able to resist without losing its nature. Walking through the picturesque streets of the village, you immediately come across the ancient washing wells, still used until few years ago by the local women, and in the closer church dedicated to San Bartolomeo with clear medieval origins whose original charm shines through despite the numerous renovations to whcih it is been submitted.
For its part, the Nest is a cozy cottage made on three levels. At the ground floor from the entrance you will find the fully equipped kitchen, through a spiral staircase you enter in the bedroom where you will find a comfortable double bed, a wardrobe, an armachair and the satellite tv.
From the ground floor where is the kitchen is also possible to access to the lower floor through a marble staircase where is a bathroom and the door that goes out to the garden.
