There's a wonderfully laid-back vibe here, plenty of street art, local markets, as well as restaurants serving delicious regional specialities, and bars serving drinks made from soaking jungle roots in cane liquor.

If you come here, stay at El Mirador. There's a terrace with amazing jungle views and the breakfast they serve is probably one of the best I've eaten in Peru.

"Overall the property was nice. We stayed four nights. We were the only guests. I would think for the price per night of $56 they would have more comfortable beds. The pillows were also really small. There was only one small bar of soap that lasted for one bath luckily we brought our own. Only one roll of toilet paper was provided and we had to purchase more. The room doesn't provide shampoo.
