"Mixed Experience – Beautiful Views but Disappointing Conditions The property itself is a beautiful home with stunning views, but unfortunately, our stay was not pleasant overall. The location is quite remote—far from restaurants and not well lit at night—which made it difficult to find upon arrival. While the home has great potential, we encountered several cleanliness and maintenance issues. When we arrived, the house had a significant bug problem, including roaches, termites, ants, and mosquitoes. Additionally, the bed sheets in the master bedroom did not appear clean, which was very disappointing. With better upkeep and attention to cleanliness, this home could offer a truly wonderful stay, but as it stands, we wouldn’t return."

"El Silencio Lodge & Spa is an excellent retreat for a solo traveler. 5 star treatment across the board. The staff were welcoming and helpful. They took care of my every need. This property offered everything from food, drinks, spa, outdoor experiences, complimentary amenities and wellness activities all on-site. I felt safe and secure in this luxury environment that far exceeded my expectations. Best foodie experience ever!"

"Have stayed here before several times and they have done and are continuing to do a lot of improvements. The entire staff from checking in , kitchen and wsit staff, grounds crew have all been very friendly and efficient. The grounds crew does a fantastic job of keeping the jungle and it's critters from literally taking over. There is a lot of wildlife to be seen just walking around and exploring the grounds. The food and beverages have all been very good. I'm staying in 1 of the 2 Tree House rooms and would higjly recommend choosing these rooms. Their balcony"s literally look over the Tarcolito stream and the jungle across the stream is alive with squaking Parrots and Macaws. Truly one of my favorite spots in Costa Rica."
