"We enjoyed the deck at El Refugio. The beds were also comfortable. Nice location and view of Ensenada. 4 stars on cleanliness because there were a few really dirty spots (top of glass over stove and top of fridge) where a simple damp sponge would have done wonders. Hot water appliance also failed and was tricky to get hot water. But we were able to contact on-site person and owner and everything resolved to our satisfaction (I was able to take a hot shower). "Our visit was purely AMAZING. Everything was way better than we ever expected, the property and view was stunningly beautiful and relaxing; we enjoyed sitting on the patios and in the yard.
The facilities and accomodations were beautiful and meticulously maintained.
The hosts and staff were very friendly and accomodating. We felt as if the hosts had been our best friends for 20 years!
We WILL be back there and hopefully we will meet some of you there!"
"This was an A experience. We were graciously welcomed to the property. Our tent was absolutely gorgeous with attention to every detail — lovely furnishing, super comfy bed, great shower, luxurious robes. We were just steps from the beautiful infinity pool and spent hours alongside reading and watching the birds flutter in for a wee drink. Enrique and Candi have put together a beautiful experience for guests. I hope to return again and again."
"I had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The property features a charming vineyard that adds a lovely, tranquil atmosphere. Their breakfast in the mornings was absolutely delicious with a great variety of options. The pool and two hot tubs really made for an extra special evening after unwinding from a day of tasting fabulous wine. Will definitely be back. "
