This was a really cute place off from the main road. The rooms were super cool and made you feel at home. The front has a balcony and you can go down and sit in chairs down in the yard. Great place for the money.

The staff was very small, personal and responsive. Rooms were unique and very convenient to walk to the beach, food. Staff arranged for golf cart rental delivered and arranged to pick it up at the water taxi when we left. Room had a kitchenette.

I had a wonderful stay. The property manager was the sweetest , so helpful and friendly. Can’t beat the price. However, location was a bit far from town. Definitely need a golf cart or taxi driver willing to pick you up and drop you off.

It was truly an amazing stay thank you.. Jose was the great, the dive shop was amazing and the bed was perfect to rest in after a long day diving.. definitely will rate 5* Note a good cart if you want to enjoy the hotspots is definitely recommended. Fine for me

Jose and his wife were super friendly and helpful. The hotel is very cute and you have all the basic necessities in your little apartment. Room was clean and had AC. San Pedro is very busy so it was nice to stay in a quieter area that was still close enough to walk to the town centre and very close to the beach. Would recommend!

Situated a 30 minute walk from the madness of downtown San Pedro we appreciated the calm. Numerous fine small local places to eat nearby all pointed out by Jose who was a fountain of great information. The room/suite was fully equipped and everything worked well. A taxi ride downtown the ferry is 15BZD. The owner was gracious and assisted us in every request in organizing snorkeling, arranging transportation, etc. This is not a party palace and we appreciated the fact that after a long day of sun and or sea that we could sleep in a comfortable bed in a quiet room! Stayed three nights and highly recommend.

The big iguanas in the trees were a daily fascination!! The owner, Lucinda, was gracious,Jose and Miriam, the property managers were always available for help, a chat, advice and directions. Jose even built me a stepstool to get into the golf cart since im still recovering from hip replacement. We met the neighbor and learned about the different cultures in Belize, joined him fishing and dined on the redsnapper catch. Weve rarely experienced such friendly, and contented islanders!! Thank you Belize Budget Suites for a great birthday trip.

A great stay at Belize Budget Suites.

We had a great stay at Belize Budget Suites. Everything was as described and as pictured on their website and other links. The personnel were all welcoming and accommodating. They checked with us regularly to see if we needed anything; handled our surprise early arrival with good cheer, helped us with local information and advice. The Suite had everything we needed. The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet. The grounds are lovely and enjoyable for sitting outside. The location was perfect for us. The communication before and during our trip were awesome. There are great instructions and information in the room, and great advance information to know what to expect. Good Wifi made use easy to use What'sapp to contact local businesses. Thanks to Jose, Miriam and Lucenda.

Probably pretty quiet normally, though when I was there they had construction going on in the room next door. That produced a lot of noise and suggested the walls were pretty thin. The owners / managers were quite friendly. The location is the challenge - the streets of San Pedro are neglected, potholed, cobble-stoned atrocities. Riding bicycles or golf carts on them is jarring and very uncomfortable. And it's a ten or fifteen minute cart drive from this hotel to pretty much anything in San Pedro - potentially much more, for things on the other side of the town.

The staff’s apathy was extremely disappointing. Nani, the manager, was helpful for check-in, but it ended there. As soon as I got to the room, the ceiling fan was barely spinning, and I couldn’t figure out how to turn it up. I asked Nani how to do it, and she wrote back saying Jose would look at it in the morning. When I woke up, the fan was off. I informed her of that, and she responded with the same message, saying Jose would look at it. When I got back after a full day away from the hotel, the fan wasn’t on, and no one had reached out to me about it. After realizing that service is subpar, I wasn’t even going to bother following up since they clearly didn’t care. When I woke up, I told Nani that we had no power and that our bathroom sink pipe was dripping and had flooded the floor. She responded saying there was a power outage from the electric company, which obviously was not her fault, but she did not acknowledge me telling her that the sink pipe was leaking and flooding the floor, something that is actually in her jurisdiction to fix. Since I was checking out soon, I wanted to write to her again about the bathroom floor, saying, “The bathroom floor is flooded, just so whoever cleans knows. The pipe under the sink has been dripping”. Her response was, “Ok thanks for letting me know”. The lack of concern and care for me as a guest was shocking. Belizeans are extremely courteous, and I did not encounter any unprofessionalism anywhere in Belize but here. She is not Belizean

The hotel itself is down a dirt road and off the main road so if it rains and you want to walk to the road it’ll be muddy and full of puddles, just a heads up but the property itself is clean and well maintained. The rooms are all unique and loved the space with the little kitchen and separate living area. The beds were not the most comfortable and only have one pillow on each bed- had to ask for another pillow. AC worked well and the unit was clean. José was super attentive and kind to us during our stay. It was a little odd that you couldn’t deadbolt the door from the inside. Enjoyed our stay overall.

A Home away from Home

Belize Budget Suites are a home away from home. Every time from now on I'll stay here. Ms. Lucinda and Ms Miriam are the sweetest ladies. The property is absolutely stunning. She provide a "What To Do" manual for my stay in San Pedro and I used it to the fullest.

We stayed at Belize Budget Suites for four days and absolutely loved it! Lucinda and Jose were so helpful and were there to assist as needed. Lucinda had great recommendations for places to go and provided information regarding golf cart rentals, grocery stores, etc. The room itself was very clean, a/c worked great, and having the kitchenette was a huge plus. Overall, our stay was wonderful. I would definitely recommend this hotel to a friend and would love to stay again!

Super cute and super friendly

Loved the character of this place. Super cute, close to town and beach, outstanding service, loved hearing the birds in the morning. Very attentive and helped us call a taxi in the morning when our golf cart died. Would stay again.
