Friendly, helpful staff. They provide free paddle boards and life jackets. This was a very fun activity. Clean and spacious room with air conditioning, mini fridge and microwave. Excellent breakfast. We always enjoy staying at Sandbar.

Our stay has been amazing. We have re checked in twice and upgraded to the ocean view because it’s so awesome. Location is great and just out of the way of all the annoying golf cart fumes and noise in the main town.

My stay at Sandbar in San Pedro, Belize was fantastic from start to finish. The location is perfect—right on the beach and within walking distance of restaurants, shops, and everything you need in town. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help with recommendations and activities. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, and the atmosphere throughout the property was relaxed and inviting. One of my favorite features was the rooftop pool and bar, which offered beautiful views and was the perfect place to unwind after a day of exploring the island. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend Sandbar to anyone visiting San Pedro, Belize.

A Great Way to Experience San Pedro, Belize! We really enjoyed our stay at Sandbar Hotel & Hostel! We’ve been to Belize before, and we love experiencing the island in a way that feels relaxed and authentic rather than staying somewhere that feels completely removed from the local experience. One thing we really liked about Sandbar is that it offers both hotel and hostel accommodations, so there’s a little something for different types of travelers. Even though we stayed in the hotel, we loved having access to the amenities that make the hostel experience so convenient. There’s a shared kitchen/common area where you can prepare your own food, which is a huge plus if you’re staying for a while or want to save a little money by cooking some meals yourself. They even have laundry facilities, which is especially convenient when you're traveling and don't want to pack your entire closet! 😂 And then there’s the fun side of Sandbar/ the rooftop pool and bar! It’s such a great place to relax, have a drink, and enjoy the atmosphere after spending the day exploring San Pedro. The Caribbean is literally steps away, so you really get that island experience. And we have to mention the people and the food. Everyone we encountered was friendly, welcoming, and helpful, and the food was SO good. We had some really delicious meals and definitely left talking about what we ate! The location is another big plus. You’re close to everything, but you still get that laid-back island feeling.

Great hotel... very clean, laid back vibe, great pool on the rooftop, with a nice bar/ lounge area. The bartender (Antoine) was awesome! The restaurant is very good too! Free breakfast every morning at 8am, and a sweet cat (Boots). All the reception personnel are very friendly and helpful as well!!!

The location was right on the water. Though no beach, just boat docks, restaurants, etc. The restaurant at the hotel was wonderful. Everything we had was very good. The prices were good. The selection of items was massive. We were just down the street (short walk) from two grocery stores. The large frigerators and freezers down in the common area were great to keep things in. Our room did have a smaller frigerator with a litte freezer. The common seating area was spacious. There were rockers, chairs, tables and a very good breeze coming into the covered area. The staff was exceptional! They were so helpful and nice. The few items that we did not care for was the lack of sitting spaces in our room. Only the two beds in the room. We did have a balcony with a small table and two chairs. It seemed a bit odd to not have any chairs in the room. Also, the storage in the room was very limited. There was a column rack; however it was not very sturdy. For us being a bit older the steps seemed like a lot. We were on floor 2. The pool was on floor 4. The steps would fine for younger healthy people. There were railings for the stairs. Overall, the hotel was great, good location. If we were younger, we would stay there again.

My private room with a balcony was comfortable and clean. Loved the continental breakfast which included papaya and watermelon, coffee, pastries and cereal. The bar was a great place to hang for a drink in the evenings. I connected with various travelers, booked a snorkeling trip to Hol Chan and shark alley and did a sunset catamaran cruise. I will likely return to Belize and stay at Sandbar.

The hostel itself was great! Modern, clean, comfortable and even the shared dorms had some resemblance of privacy. The staff were all absolutely amazing and great to talk to as well, they made me feel right at home. Some of the features that stood out were the restaurant onsite and the roof top pool, both of which were excellent. I would recommend this place to literally everyone and I will definitely be staying here again next time I vacation back to Belize!
