The staff at Pensión Kursaal were exceptionally kind and helpful throughout our stay. Although this isn’t a traditional hotel, it offers everything you need for a comfortable and memorable visit. Its charm, hospitality, and location made it the perfect home base for our trip to San Sebastián. We would happily stay here again!

This was the best hotel we stayed in for our entire trip. Our suite was large, beautifully finished with a great view. Everything worked perfectly- the shower was excellent and the bed was really comfortable. There was a coffee machine, a kettle and a small fridge. The location was great, walking distance from the old city and the beach and bus station. The staff were amazing, in particular Izascun who gave us fresh towels when needed after our swim in the Atlantic and gave advice about restaurants etc. We had a really fabulous stay in San Sebastián. Gracias a pension Kursaal.

Very clean room but very basic. It did the trick but the walls were paper thin and you could hear everyone walking in the hallway at all time of day. Great location.

This is a good hotel for a short break in San sebastian. We'll located near Old Town and a very fine beach. The hotel was really peaceful establishment, the blackout blinds worked really well. Good coffee available at the Reception area. All.in all would stay here again

Loved it. Very convenient location, easy check-in (loved the self check-in option given our train came in late), great communication from staff. We appreciated the free tea and coffee in the lobby. The beds were also fantastic. Amazing night of sleep.

This property was amazing. Value for money, has the loveliest staff I’ve had on all my travels - with good suggestions and a willing to help. The location was perfect for us, and for places a little far, it was easy to grab public transport near by.

I seldom write reviews but this time around, I have to. I sprained my ankle in Barcelona on the day that I was arriving in San Sebastián. Gloria checked me in and I casually mentioned about my ankle. She immediately asked if she can do anything at all to assist me. She was so kind, helpful and was constantly checking in on me throughout my stay. The rest of the staff were the same as well. I just want her to know that I truly appreciate everything she said and did for me. Thank you and I hope I get to come back and see you guys again.

The most friendly, ultra helpful staff of our 5 week trip through Europe (sorry, I can’t remember how to spell her name but it was something like Leidie). Fabulous location, near a beach and just a quick stroll across the bridge into Old Town and the rest of the city.

Pension Kursal features no frills nice rooms that are very clean and walkable to restaurants, bakeries, the bus station and the old town. We arrived when there was staff to buzz us in - not sure how you arrange for the door code and room code if you arrive after 5 pm local time.
An amazing antique elevator brings you to floor #1 to the reception and bedrooms.

Hotel is in a great location in San Sebastian. A 5 minute walk into the old city with all the attractions and bus transport. Also just down the street from hotel are many restaurants. Staff, particularly Leire, very helpful and extremely nice. Great place to stay in San Sebastian.

Great location, easy walking distance to all areas. Area felt safe around the hotel. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Personally the only thing missing was tea/coffee making facilities in the room as these are only available in the reception area.

Great location in Donostia/San Sebastian

The Pension Kursaal is, as the name indicates, right across the road from the Kursaal and it is an easy walk to the old and new parts of San Sebastián or into Gros, the local neighbourhood. Rooms are compact and comfortable. Coffee (in the daytime) and tea can be made in the reception lobby. The lady at Reception gave us some good tips on things to do and places to eat.
