"Speechless. The location in a valley, close to the mountains, a very welcoming home, -silence-, every detail and amenity inside the home, there is nothing better in this part of the country. It rained every night of our stay, but enjoying the daytime outdoors more than compensated. There was plenty of solar power for lights and appliances, and a Swamp Cooler maintained a comfortable temperature. Wi-fi, tv reception were great. There are 2 itty bitty things to be aware of, not dealbreakers: the refrigerator doesn’t have a freezer - the freezer is in the laundry room! And the washer had quite a collection of hair, and smelled of mildew. All in all, a wonderful week!"

"I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Barndominium! The host was very responsive to my questions and made everything easy.The Barn had everything I needed, including a fully equipped kitchen, washer/dryer, large bathroom, very comfortable bed, and good Wi-Fi. There's also a desk in the living area if you need to work. The TV has Roku with lots of options, including Apple TV, Prime Video, and Netflix (using your own accounts).I especially loved the large back porch, which had plenty of room for my tripod and camera. I captured some beautiful sunrises and sunsets, and you can even see the Great Sand Dunes from the porch!The host also allowed me to park in the huge garage to load and unload my belongings, which was very much appreciated.There's a very sweet horse on the property who loves attention and pets. The location was convenient for the Great Sand Dunes via Lane 6 Road and about 30 minutes from Monte Vista National Wildlife Refuge. Be sure to check out the Spring Creek area within the refuge, where the Canadian geese hang out. Alamosa is also close by for groceries, restaurants, and fuel.The only thing I wished for was a lamp next to the bed, but that's minor.I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and hope to return again!"

"Frontier Drive-In was hands-down the coolest place we stayed during our entire 3 1/2 week trip! Everything was exceptionally clean, and the décor was absolutely perfect and stylish. It was unique while still feeling warm and homey. The atmosphere was incredibly peaceful and relaxing, and the entire property was so much fun to explore. There isn’t much nearby, so I would recommend eating or picking up food before arriving. We absolutely loved our stay and would highly recommend it!"

"Overall, we really enjoyed our stay here. It’s super secluded and great for folks wanting to hit the Sand Dunes or have a few nights away where you can stargaze.The property was well stocked with kitchen supplies, which was a nice touch given how secluded it is — great to have everything you need for cooking and meals. Having full laundry access was a big plus too. The beds were comfortable if you like a firmer mattress.A few things to know before you go: there’s no AC, so bring your own fan if you want one (there are a couple in the bedrooms, but more would help). Nights stay cool in summer, but days can get quite hot. There are also loose dogs next door, so keep that in mind if you have a reactive dog, and watch your step in the backyard — there’s a fair amount of dog poop back there.Overall, a great property, and we’d recommend it."
