It was spacious, each couple with their own bathroom. We ate most of our meals at home. Our comadre caught a cold right upon arrival. She had a comfortable place to read, rest and recover, while we enjoyed the pool and had such a wonderful outing in the boat on the Douro river. This was definitely a once in a life time...

My only caution is that driving in the area is not for the faint of heart. Also, people with mobility issues should avoid the house as there are many stairs and uneven steps going into the property. "The house is very comfortable and well equipped. We were 8 adults two children and one small dog in total. While on the ground floor the common area suited the group well, everyone couple/family had its own room and space upstairs. The garden is great and has an awesome view to a small vineyard and corn plantation. As the house is fenced, the dog and the children could freely play without further concerns. A great getaway location with easy access (30 mins by car) to Beaches, Porto, Amarante, River Duoro etc. There is much to do in the area: sight seeing, walking, riding bikes, train ride, swimming in the sea and rivers.
