"This is a very special property. Upon check in, we were told the legend of Pedro and Innes, a tragic and romantic story that allegedly took place here. This set the tone for our exploration of this grand and historic accommodation. The public lounges are exquisite, and the library is full of old-world charm. The gardens are moody and extensive, well worth a stroll. We dined in both their restaurants, and the service and food were flawless. Our reason for visiting Coimbra was to see the historic university. And although the university is exceptional, this hotel stole the show!"

"I had a perfect stay here. The hotel is simply stunning, the attentive and friendly staff went above and beyond. My room had a beautiful view of the courtyard and pool. My bed was incredibly comfortable and I loved all the thoughful details in the room. The breakfast was very good, I wish I had more time in Aveiro so I could stay here longer. The location was very central, at the centre of the city. Steps away from the moliceiros and just a few minutes away from the train station. I have nothing negative to say, it was perfection and I highly recommend it. "

"The room was very clean. I would make sure that I had a view of the pool or the water if I stayed there next time. We were across from a pretty ugly building not a huge fan of the carpet. The service was great, the bartender the front desk people the massage staff were all great. The layout of this place is a little weird. We have to go through the dining area to get to the pool but once you get out there, the pool is beautiful."
