"A charming property with a historic main building, cosy communal areas and comfortable chalet-style rooms. The bed was very comfortable, and the included à la carte breakfast was delicious. The pub had a lovely atmosphere, although we didn’t get a chance to eat there. The hot water ran out fairly quickly, but overall we had a very pleasant stay and wished we could have stayed longer than one night."

"We had a great stay at Moorcroft for two nights. Couple of tips: 1) Exit at Howick off N3 as the roads are paved, 2) Bring rain gear as it rained quite a bit when we were there, 3) Aim to arrive before sunset as it gets quite dark on the roads, 4) The kitchen closes at 8:30 p.m. and there aren’t too many options nearby. "The rooms are okay and they are perfect for the price. However, the host did not tell us we would be sharing the house with other guests abs this caused a startle with those we found in the house already. The gyser was not working and this was on a 9degree Celsius weather where we had to take a night and morning cold shower. Supper was a disaster: upon arriving at 7pm, we were told there’s no food as they had hosted a group of people earlier and couldn’t cater for us. We managed to get...
