"Clean spacious room, driving up the mountain to get there at night (was also really foggy) was a little precarious. We arrived late evening so the restaurant was no longer open and there is no place close by to get snacks or anything. Had drinks in the bar area which were really good but having a pizza oven or something to heat up or make some appetizers would have really made it better. Staff were very friendly"

"The hotel stay was pleasant. Very clean, convenient free parking right at the hotel, breakfast was plenty. Optional dinner on most days. You can start your hikes right at the hotel. I liked the guest kitchen with microwave, coffeemaker and filled refrigerator. The hotel takes the risk counting on honest guests. I really felt good about it. "In such high altitude, with the vanishing winter and melting snow, there are really a lot to explore in oberhof. The stay at the hotel was excellent and authentic. The breakfast has many variations everyday, the fruits and vegetables were really very fresh. The staffs were well behaved and have showed good hospitality.
