"Well, the "great surroundings" covers it all: hotel, the room, the villas and parks with their high old trees, not forgetting history or interior decorations. We enjoyed it all, including the spa facilities. Efforts made toward special characteristics for the cuisine, happily preserved however with a general traditional line. Nothing missing in the wine cellar. (You asked about the cleaning: it was next to perfect not only in the room but in the hotel and restaurant as well: 4 stars.). "

"I recently had the pleasure of spending time in this beautiful lakeside cottage in Finland. Nestled among graceful silver birch trees, the cottage offers a perfect balance of peace, comfort, and nature’s beauty. The lush green foliage and wildflowers surrounding the property create a feeling of seclusion, making it an ideal escape from the bustle of everyday life.The cottage itself is charming — a classic red wooden home with white trim, exuding warmth and character. The wraparound porch is adorned with colourful blooms, and from here you can enjoy a morning coffee while listening to the gentle rustle of the trees. Inside, everything is cosy and welcoming, with the added necessities of wifi, the modern television, and hot running water.Just a short walk away, a private dock extends out over the water, offering uninterrupted views of the serene lake. Sitting on the deck by the shore, an occasional boat may pass in the distance. The surrounding reeds and islands add to the sense of privacy and tranquillity. The gardens are equally delightful, with vibrant purple clematis, striking tiger lilies, and cheerful cornflowers in shades of blue and violet. These splashes of colour contrast beautifully with the deep greens of the surrounding trees which offer a beautiful peaceful retreat.This Finnish cottage is a true hidden gem — perfect for anyone seeking natural beauty, quiet moments, and the simple pleasures of lakeside living. "This was an excellent stay, highly recommend!!"

"The emailed check in with door codes and parking were good. The room was very basic but fine. One twin bed was more of a cot width but worked ok. There were zero plugs available by the bed so we had to string our cords from the opposite wall. One bed only had a chair to use as a bedside table. The air conditioning unit was dripping on the floor by the door and the bathroom and had created a small puddle. We found that we were only provided with 1 each towel/handtowel/bathmat for two guests so I contacted the hotel through Expedia and directly according to the sign on the wall of the room’s directions (no staff anywhere on site) to report the drip and ask for more towels so we could both shower. We put the bathmat on the floor under the drip to prevent possible slip and falls, particularly because my mother is 80. We finally received a response of a picture of a piece of furniture in a hallway somewhere in the hotel with towels in it but no real explanation about half and hour before we would have had to check out - we had already left. About 20 minutes later, I got a response regarding the air conditioning issue that said they would have maintenance look at it. So, we had no bath mat for a very wet shower situation (as many in Europe are), and I used the hand towel to dry off so my mom could use the regular towel.The towel warmer was good. Don’t arrive after 8 and expect to eat anywhere around- they close early. Grocery store was open though. Good location. OK breakfast."
