"The online 1-star rating is not really justified. Although basic, this place is worth the $55 fee. The Hotels.com experience is to be avoided, they overcharged on the rate. The room was basic, the bed below average, but seeing the many species and number of sea birds in the early morning is a treat. The dirt driveway to the site is a biet of a pain."

"We stayed here during our trip through Panama and it instantly became one of the highlights of our whole adventure. The property is simply amazing — way more beautiful than we expected, (the photos honestly don’t come close to capturing how special this place really is).The house itself was spotless, super comfortable, and felt like home But what really makes it stand out is the land it’s on — just wow. There’s so much space to wander and it’s surrounded by nature at its best. We saw all kinds of wildlife right on the property and lake. The wild beach nearby made it feel like we had our own private paradise. It’s the kind of place where you can really slow down and reconnect.Brett, the host, was an absolute gem. He greeted us in person when we arrived and was so friendly and welcoming. He gave us loads of great local tips and really made us feel looked after. His team was just as wonderful — everyone we met was kind, helpful, and genuinely seemed happy to be working there. It says a lot about the kind of environment Brett has created, and it added such a nice, relaxed energy to our whole stay. Our kids absolutely adored Brett — our 5-year-old is still talking about him, and our 10-year-old said she wants to come back one day to work with him and help take care of the animals! It’s rare to find a place that feels this genuine, peaceful, and memorable all at once. hank you, Brett (and your amazing team!), for creating such a special place and sharing it with us!"
"We loved our stay. Geno our host was so welcoming & helpful. The breakfast was very nice with fresh juice & fruit. The stairs were ok, but may not be great for all travelers. Geno will try to be available to help with luggage if you give him an estimated arrival time. He has great suggestions for restaurants, tours & kayak rentals. We would definitely recommend!! "
