"Located right in the center of Alvor, very close to restaurants and shops. The downside is that there is a huge construction site neighbouring the house. Lots of noise. Instructions to get into the house was unclear, the key was missing from the key chain. We waited more than 30 min to get in. There were 4 doors and none of the keys worked. We had the main floor. The upstairs is rented as well. The doors knobs need replacing, they barely work and one came off in our hand. Cleaniless...

We were close to a little family neighborhood market, with cafés, bars and shopping just a few minutes away. The beach was a nice walk and the boardwalk amazing. "Located in the centre of the village. There's a good grocery shop 2 minutes' walk away for all needs (closed lunchtimes, Sundays and public holidays). Restaurants mostly closed in winter but there's a good little cafe. There's a rail station (Mex. Grande) under 10 mins walk away that may look abandoned but has a schedule along the coastal railway, buy ticket on train with cash only. Infrequent trains so we used the ride share app to get to the coast which was as cheap as 2 going by train/bus....
