Location, Location, Location!

We rented this house for New Year’s Eve with our grown children and grandkids.Even though the house is older, it was perfect for all of us! Sparkling clean everywhere, great beds & bedding

Over Thanksgiving

The location is great. We had great weather. We were close to where our family celebrated Thanksgiving.I do feel it is very expensive. Total everything and divide by 4 , we paid 1200 a day. Never have I ever paid this much. There were only five of us.

Annual Family East/West coast get together.

Close to wharf, rides , beach and shopping. Great view of the bay. Walk along the cliff top sidewalk and watch the surfers perform.

Ladies Trip 2024

Spectacular view. Outstanding front deck and true to form pictures. Walking access to so many beautiful Santa Cruz destinations including Natural Bridges, the Wharf and the Boardwalk, and downtown. Comfy beds and plenty of space for 10 ladies seeking a fulfilling escape from the day to day mundane! Some plumbing issues but they were quick to send reinforcements to get it tended to.

Keeping the traditions alive!

We introduced our grandchildren to Santa Cruz! Our children came here as littles and we hit all the sights! From the aquarium, golfing, the boardwalk, Capitola beach and just relaxing on the porch! We love staying on West Cliff for the fabulous location, the views and convenience! We will definitely be back next year!

We enjoyed walking to and around the lighthouse every morning. Stopped and got muffins and donuts a

Enjoyed watching the surfer’s and hearing the sea lions. Sitting by the hot tub feeling the warm sun on the face. Lots of room in the house very comfortable. Family played cards at the kitchen table great time.

Beautiful location

Great property, a little on the expensive side, bathroom near kitchen kept running, beds were not comfortable, busy road all day and night. Had difficulty with finding the key to get in and inconvenience to enter back door every time. Overall if you are looking for a gorgeous spot near the boardwalk it is worth it. Great for walking and bike rentals down the street.

Time in Santa Cruz

The location of the house was perfect. The house worked well for our group, but the kitchen utensils need updating. For example, most of the forks are tiny, the knives were dull and some of the pans had seen better days. Having said that, we had a wonderful week filled with swimming, surfing and memorable mornings and evenings on the front porch.

Great location

Great location but the house needs updating, many of the appliances are old and not fully working, all the bathrooms also need updating . The house is spacious and the games room is a good addition. For the weekly rental price I expected a better level of appliances and bathrooms.

Great location

This house is in a great location with an amazing view!! We loved the fire pit at night and enjoyed how comfortable the living area is. The game room was fun too. However, the house and appliances are all outdated and though we enjoyed ourselves, we probably would not stay there again unless they lowered the rental price. For that price point the house should be more updated. Also, the bathroom toilet off the kitchen kept running just FYI.

Great Location & View

Great location and view of the water, wharf and Boardwalk. Hot tub was nice but wood step getting out of hot tub very slick when wet, need to add traction strips to avoid falls. Ice maker and water dispenser in kitchen refrigerator were not operational and for the cost of the rental they should be. The light in the refrigerator was also out. Had an issue with the lack of HOT water but called property manager who did respond with an emergency plumber who came out after hours and fixed the issue. House could be cleaner as there were dust bunnies under the bed. Fire pit in front was a favorite spot with the view and fire pit. Garage did have umbrellas, chairs and various beach accessories along with pool table.

What we loved about this house was the location and the amazing view of the harbor. We sat out by the fire table on the front porch and enjoyed watching all the sailboats during the day and the starry sky at night. Just steps away is a sidewalk that goes along the bluff for early morning walks with spectacular views. Surfing is in walking distance, as well as the pier and boardwalk. The house itself accommodated us well. Beds are comfy and the kitchen has everything you could want for cooking. The hot tub was great. Everything was very clean. The game table in garage was air hockey, not pool as pictured on site, and we could not find an extension cord in order to use it. We did enjoy the bicycle they provided. We had an issue with the garbage disposal and the owner was quick to help us get it resolved. One thing to keep in mind is to bring your own shower gel and shampoo as these are not provided. There were plenty of linens, beach towels and extra blankets and pillows. We would love to stay here again!

Amazing Views, Great Location

Great vacation, house was close to everything. We were able to walk to the Boardwalk and Wharf with ease and though a bit further, Natural Bridges State Beach was a gorgeous walk along the cliffs. It was a short drive to all the downtown restaurants and shops. (By the way, highly recommend the Santa Cruz Food Tour during your stay if you do head downtown!) We used the hot tub and the front porch fire pit practically every day, the views were fantastic from both. Watching the surfers, the people biking and hiking along the cliff and the variety of cars traveling along West Cliff Drive was very entertaining. The fenced in front lawn was a plus with the kids. It was an extra safety measure we appreciated! The house was very clean and well equipped. We had everything we needed. There was more than enough linens, pillows, towels, blankets for everyone and the kitchen had more appliances/gadgets than I expected (guess I didn't need to bring my coffee grinder!). The kitchen was our favorite room in the house. Again, the views! Tara was very responsive during our planning and the booking and check in process was easy. Thanks so much for the hospitality! We loved our vacation!!

Great location, everything else needs care

This house is in a great location and has a nice porch overlooking the water. That's about it. The sheets and towels were clean but the rest of the house in in disrepair. There is peeling paint in several rooms. The wooden doors are all peeling at the bottom. The door frames are all completely banged up and filthy. Everything could use a coat of paint. The sinks and bathtub are peeling. The entire place is in disrepair and to charge what they are charging is unfair. There are no amenities. There was no soap in any of the showers. The water filter in the fridge is broken and there is not one on the sink nor is there a simple filtered pitcher in the fridge. Ice machine is also broken so you need to make your own ice. The listing also makes no mention of the house next door which has an addition that is completely under construction so that's what you're looking at from the hot tub. I contacted management immediately upon checking in as I always defer to letting people help you with your problems before writing a bad review and I was told I'd receive a call back shortly. I did not. Four days later I checked in with them and still no suggestion for a resolution. At this point, it's been almost a week since I stayed there and still no response. It is not properly advertised nor worth the money they are charging.

Enjoyed our stay

Location was amazing. Breathtaking sunrises with morning coffee were a great start to every day. Single story was a big plus for elderly parent. The bathrooms were outdated but worked just fine. Made a few inqueries of property management and only response didn't really address concerns. Seemed mostly concerned with making sure we didn't break the hot tub, to the point of almost discouraging us to use it. hint: we did not. Finally, the stove was a lot of work to keep clean. More than I wanted to do on vacation. That being said, it was a great place for a multi generational vacation. Nice to have plenty of room to visit and have meals together.
