Welcome to Casa de Paz, a stunning 4,200-square-foot Santa Fe stucco-style retreat featuring 4 bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms, and accommodations for up to 10 guests. Nestled within an exclusive gated community in the Tesuque Hills of Santa Fe, New Mexico, this custom-built home is perfectly positioned just a few miles north of the historic Santa Fe Plaza and minutes from the world-renowned Santa Fe Opera.

From the moment you arrive, you are greeted by breathtaking, unobstructed views of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. The home is thoughtfully oriented to the east, allowing you to witness spectacular sunrises through expansive windows or from the private deck off the living room. Whether you are enjoying the warmth of the morning sun or grilling on the second sunset-facing barbecue deck under a canopy of stars, the outdoor spaces are designed for total immersion in New Mexico’s natural beauty.

Inside, the residence exudes a sophisticated, artistic personality defined by clay walls featuring art-filled nichos and soaring beamed ceilings. The upper level is an entertainer's dream, where the living and dining areas are elegantly separated by a baby grand piano. For the culinary enthusiast, a gourmet kitchen equipped with state-of-the-art Bosch appliances is easily serviced by a unique dumbwaiter, perfect for whisking groceries up from the garage. After dinner, retreat to the cozy den to relax by the second fireplace.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay, but wouldn't return without a few adjustments.Pros:1. Beautiful, spacious, clean2. Neighborhood is quiet, private while also being close to downtown. Great for stargazing.3. Staff at Kokopelli was kind.Cons:1. Heating is designed to be energy efficient which is great, but we would not recommend staying during colder temps. We followed instructions on strategically using showers/appliances but were never able to comfortably heat the property. Outside temps were in the 30s/40s and getting bedrooms above 60-61 degrees was a challenge. We emailed Kokopelli but since it was a weekend, we didn't hear back, and didn't feel like it constituted calling the emergency line for any tips.2. Faucets/shower heads need to be cleaned or replaced/repaired. The spray from some faucets soaked bathroom counters/mirror and the showers were uncomfortable - either too strong, couldn't be adjusted, or chaotic from build up on shower heads. One shower tnever got beyond lukewarm. Plenty of other showers to use, but still inconvenient.3. A couple of maintenance things - the fridge had a rotten smell like a filter needed to be changed. Blinds in one room were broken, outlets in another didn't work.We were granted early check in, but codes didn't work until 4pm and staff was unable to help over the phone. Not as big of a deal since we were able to get in at guaranteed check in. Could be great with a little TLC!

The views are amazing, the house is gorgeous. Overall it was a very good experience. Could be used more dishwashing pods. The shower heads are not optimal in spray quality and strength, and the bathrooms could've used some robes. But I will recommend to others for sure.

This place was awesome, we enjoyed how well furnished the place was. We were able to make breakfast, lunch and dinner, had everything you can think of. All of the sky lights and balcony’s were awesome. This place is a must book, close to the city, and hiking. But away enough to be quiet and see a ton of stars at night!

Beautiful Santa Fe Hills Property

We really enjoyed our stay, the property was clean, spacious, and very peaceful. Checking in was very easy, no issues. Definitely recommend this beautiful home if you are looking for a high quality experience in a quiet location.

Nice Views

The stay overall was great & we enjoyed outside time in the evening. Only thing is the AC stuggled a bit downstairs but thankfully the windows opened & it cooled down at night. Thank you for having availability for us since the other place we had booked in March canceled on us a week out! This was a last shindig trip we brought our nephew on who is leaving for the Army in July, so thank you for allowing us to make some wonderful memories together

Beautiful home, great location

This home is spacious, beautiful, comfortable and in a great location. Close to downtown Santa Fe but not far from Bandalier National Monument (cliff dwellings), Puye and Los Alamos. We were a group of 8. Kitchen is spacious and actually well stocked. 2 large balconies, nice seating areas inside. Great views, even from the large kitchen windows.

Main Bedroom Could Not Be Used

The first night, there was a storm and a water leak occurred through a skylight onto the King Bed in the main bedroom. I notified the leasing company and they said a maintenance person would be by that day...he never came. The following day, I went by the leasing office and they were very defensive, but stated that I would receive a refund of some sort for the inconvenience. The king bed was soaked and therefore the use of that bedroom could not occur for the duration of the trip, 6 nights total. I have yet to hear about any type of reimbursement and have had difficulty talking to a live person at the leasing office (Kokopelli-Santa Fe) since the end of our stay on Sunday, May 11th. Any help with this matter is appreciated!

Girls Trip

We had a wonderful stay. Clean well stocked home. Plenty of room. It gets very dark at night so we tried to get back to the house before it got too dark out.

Elegant

Our beautiful Vrbo reminded us of a fortress, so massive and elegant! Every room was decorated so beautifully. We loved the windows with the gorgeous views of the mountains. We had everything plus more than what we needed, great towels, linens, and comfy beds.

Cramer Christmas 2024 - Santa Fe

Great views, amazing hike able neighborhood, little kids 6/3/3/2 loved the outdoor areas around the house and hiking the draws in the neighborhood. Plenty of room indoors for meals and play. Nice and quiet neighborhood in the evening. Loved our stay!

Beautiful Home Needs Some TLC

Our family booked this property for a getaway. The property management company was very courteous and followed up expeditiously. There were a couple of issues during our stay. There were several leaks in the master during afternoon rain storms, all of the carpets were stained and there is missing or cracked grout in the master shower. On our final day my adult son was showering in the hall bath and the door fell from its track and shattered causing him several lacerations from the safety glass. With that said we mostly enjoyed our time at the home. It is located in close proximity to Santa Fe and is easy in and out to local venues. The home is well decorated and suited our group. The kitchen is well equipped and the furnishings were appropriate for the space. If the issues are addressed I am sure this home would be a great destination for your family or group.

The perfect family vacation getaway

The home is superb. It is spacious, tastefully decorated, well appointed, has a great location, is in a beautiful community with privacy, is homey, has a superior piano, and made our family vacation all the more special. We plan to return.

Review of Casa de Paz

Property was nice but, the Checkin process was poor, as they weren't ready for us, and we waited 20-30 minutes to get our keys! Lady who checked us in was quite rude as well! Also, location description made it appear that the property was across from Bishops Lodge...and it's not! In fact it was several miles from the resort!

Nice Home in Quiet Area

We really appreciated the quiet location of this home, while only being a 6 or 7 min drive to the Plaza. It was roomy and the layout worked perfect for our family. Management was quick to respond when I told them the coffee pot was broken (and hadn't been cleaned). I will say the check-in process is ridiculous for 2023. You have to drive to a neighborhood office to pick up the keys and then drive back to the office to drop them off. It makes absolutely no sense and is frustrating after you've already travelled for hours and just want to settle in. Just put a key lockbox at the property or use wifi locks. We travel a LOT and haven't had to do this in a long time. If you go when it's really hot, the downstairs A/C struggles to keep the area cool but they do have fans for each room if needed. I took off 1 star for the check-in/out process. 1/2 star because of the dirty coffee pot and lame A/C downstairs (where all the bedrooms are) and 1/2 a star because they put a big blanket over the piano with signs telling all the rules about it. Just remove the piano (It takes a lot of living space away), or don't rent your home if you don't "really" like having people in it.
