"Forget sleeping if you get a sea view room. There are nightclubs up and down the strip and one open air club across the street that BLASTED music right to 3:30 am!!! It was a nightmare. As well, we had some drunken neighbor in the room beside us who passed out on the patio with his own speaker playing. In the pool were a bunch of men who had been there for what looked like hours drinking beer and smoking cigarettes. As the pool is quite small we decided not to go in as it was extremely uncomfortable. Unfortunately we had to leave a night early even though we paid for the room because we just couldn't take anymore. Neither one of us had more than about 4 hours sleep each night it was really terrible because the room was actually quite lovely and the staff are really nice but they should never put people our age in a room that face the street with the nightclubs like that. What a shame."

"We could see the ocean, but, you could not swim from this beach. Undertow was very strong. This was just a hotel room, it could have been better with a mini fridge and coffee maker. The room was cleaned daily"

"Beautiful view of the ocean and the sunrise from our room. Small pool was refreshing after a day at the beach although it could use some maintenance. The property is situated between San Agustinillo and Mazunte and requires a short walk up a steep road. The area is quite hilly, but it is an easy walk to the breathtaking San Agustinillo beach with some good snorkeling accessible from the shore. Some decisions by management seemed odd: bottled water for sale onsite, not included in the room price; coffee with some slices of white bread offered for breakfast. No restaurant or bar, but there are shared refrigerators and a few bottles of wine and beer available for purchase. There are plenty of good restaurant options a short walk away. "

"We were fortunate enough to stay in the presidential suite and also in one of the rooms with the terrace that had fabulous views. The staff was excellent, specially Primi, Kevin and Max. They made us feel at home."

"Casa Lú has an ideal location and the rooms have wonderful views of the ocean which is only footsteps away. Our second-floor room had an unobstructed view of the water and ocean landmarks. The staff were very attentive and cheerful throughout the day. The restaurant menu was basic and enjoyable, but somewhat limited. Several tables were set on the beech every evening providing a special spot or dinner. The pool was kept cool, clean and refreshing. Evenings and nights were peaceful and quiet. Our week there passed quickly and enjoyably. "
