"We stayed in a large room, 5 of us. There is a communal kitchen “alfresco” which is welcome when you donc want to eat out every meal. Alex, the owner, is super friendly. He gave us good advice on places to see, beaches to visit. One downside: the place had a bit of a damp smell. "

"The place is absolutely lovely, right next to a beautiful river and surrounded by forest. In general it’s quiet, yet the music from the bar was a bit high at times. Breakfast was very basic. The cabin was very nice, generally comfortable but lacking cabinets to store our clothes. The cabin also was not super clean. I would certainly consider staying there again, but I think the price we paid was too high for the quality of the products, services and amenities received. "

"We stayed here with our kids (11 and 8) for one night on our way from Osa Peninsula to SJO. We should have stayed longer! We loved hearing about the gardens and tasting the fruit and the home brew. The home cooked meal was great--definitely go for that. The house is a little ways up in the mountains; I would definitely recommend a 4x4 car and a strong constitution, but the views were breathtaking (especially early morning sunrise!). If you are coming from the south, have Todd send directions....
