Excellent stay, clean and basic room for an incredible price. View out of the window was stunning. Perfect for a quick night, no frills. Very friendly staff and good coffee in the morning.
Friendly staff, clean and comfortable. Lots of activities and helpful front desk staff. We had a private and would definitely suggest paying the extra for superior room because they are in their own little hallway area and much quieter then rest of the hotel/hostel
Viajero Santa Marta is easily the best Viajero in Colombia! I spent about two weeks here on three separate visits, so I know the place quite well. First and most importantly, it's amazing value for money. The quality of the building and the rooms and the facilities is excellent. The rooftop pool and bar are beautiful, and if the hostel is well-booked out, the atmosphere up there is usually great. My only complaint is that the kitchen is too small to accommodate all the guests who want to use it, plus the cleaning staff as well, who also use it. It also lacks some obvious things (like bowls). It could also do with a quiet room for coworking, but the cafe is fairly decent for that (it's just a little loud due to the music). Otherwise, great place!
The hostel it self is incredible and staff especially were so so nice and welcoming. I took the cheapest room, a dorm of 10. It was a level above any other hostel I’ve been to. Big room, shower and bathroom inside the room! Rare to find
Best hostel experience ever. The community, the vibe, the staff, experiences really just all of it. From the front desk, maids, hostess and bartenders everyone was awesome! Tatiana gira above and beyond for the experiences and is awesome to hang out with. Then Sharon at the bar up top is the best bartender you can get. Try this place out and you’ll only want Viajeros!

Viajero hostels are usually very consistent in terms of cleanliness, amenities, and having good on-site restaurants, and this one was no exception. I really liked the decor, the staff were friendly, and the wristbands for accessing the rooms were a very convenient touch. They also organize daily activities, which is great for meeting people.
As for areas of improvement, the check-in process can take quite a long time, I experienced a significant wait with a long line. Laundry service was also slower than expected, as my clothes weren’t ready at the promised time.
It can get a bit noisy if you plan to work from the restaurant or reception area, as the background music is quite loud. Additionally, the area outside the hostel felt somewhat sketchy at times, and I did feel a bit unsafe.
Other than that, it’s a very well-maintained hostel overall and a solid option if you’re looking for a reliable stay.
6 bed dorm 111, shower door not closing, hot water takes a long time to come through, blanket was like a light bed sheet, quite a social place with events going on

I booked a private room and was told I was.being upgraded to a superior room but the tv and the ac remote didnt work they screwed.me. I was also harrassed and searched.by.local police. I came.down.one night at 3.am and the.police who harrased.me were sleeping on the.sofas inside the.hostel. It was a nightmare and I.will.never return
