"Do not be discouraged by the road to Rancho Humo, what lies at the end turned out to be a real gem. This property is nestled up against the central wetlands of Nicoya peninsula on the shore of the Tempisque river and is a definitive location for birdwatchers from all over. My wife and I are not birdwatchers but booked this based on its remote location and its high marks from other reviews. We also booked in offseason so fortunately for us we were the only guests and the staff was so great to make us feel welcome and taken care of all week. Be sure to let Kenneth make you feel welcome and attend to whatever your needs are and listen to his vast knowledge about the property and it’s animal inhabitants while on the safari tour. Also, Chef Kenya is an absolute magician in the kitchen so don’t miss her daily culinary offerings. Will absolutely return one day, maybe not during the rainy season though… 😁"

Ana is a superior cook and was so helpful in planning all our activities. Freddy was a diligent hard worker up at the crack of dawn every day cleaning the pool and property. We were so sad to leave. Perfecto!! Can’t wait to come back. "

"What a wonderful resort. The beds were comfortable the air conditioning appreciated and the staff are very friendly and welcoming. Also, when you stay at an all inclusive resort it can tend to have mediocre food. That was not the case with this property. Our lunches and dinners were fantastic and it just added to our trip being delicious and relaxing!"

"We as a family of four spent eight days at the property beginning of August '25 (wet season) and enjoyed every day. The location was great being in the middle of Samara with a simple three-minute walk to the beach. The ice cream parlour across the road was a hit with the girls. You are spoilt for restaurants which can and do cater from breakfast to evening dinner. Accommodation was clean and functional with ample room. AC was powerful and quickly cooled a room if and when required. Paul was generous with his time and help when we needed it. Overall would happily stay again. "

"The listing title says it all - and they are right!! Best view of Samara hands down. What an amazing and fun stay we had. Listing is pretty much 100% spot on for what we got when we arrived. Easy walk down to the beach and town. Loved having the boogie boards, beach chairs, etc. If you do come to stay also check out Playa Carillo which is only a 5-10 minute drive past here. GORGEOUS beach with nothing on it but palm trees. We would absolutely stay here again. Also kudos to the security staff working there - very friendly and helpful. "
