Overall great experience. The house was bright, clean, and comfortable and everything worked fine. Roy is very responsive and his directions and instructions for the house were clear and helpful. It was our first trip to the panhandle and the house itself is in a quiet and convenient part of the Sea Grove beach area. Actual town names can be a little confusing for first-timers. It is basically halfway between Watercolor/Seaside (which we visited and found to be too congested) and Alys Beach/Rosemary Beach (which we also visited and was super nice but overkill in terms of pricing for our 4 and 6 year olds). The house is in Cassine Village, which was very well maintained, and 20 steps from two tennis courts and one of the two pools in the community. There was no Spring Break vibe. The entire community was families and it never seemed crowded. We always got lounge chairs at the pool and often had the pool to ourselves. Beach access is a 10 minute walk, which our young kids managed just fine. There is no parking at the beach so we did notice other families doing drop-off trips in their cars or rented golf carts. Food options was another pleasant surprise. The house has everything if you want to cook, but my wife does NOT COOK on vacation so we ate every meal out. Perfect Pig and Angelinas are walking distance and very good. I looked at receipts when we got home and we apparently ate at the Perfect Pig eight times. Cafe 30A was expensive but outstanding. Steamboat Grill and Old Florida Fish House were also very good. I drove to get coffee and cinnamon rolls every morning at Beachy Bean Coffee Co. If you're flying in/out of Panama City (the nearest airport), try to leave time to stop at Boon Docks. It is 10 minutes from the airport and was a fantastic last lunch on our way home. It was a great vacation and we hope to return next year.
