Welcome to Playing Hooky on 30A, a luxurious 3-story beach retreat perfect for large groups and families. Sleeping up to 21 guests, this 4,200+ sq. ft. home features a spacious, open floor plan with generously sized bedrooms, upscale furnishings, a fully stocked kitchen, an oversized laundry room with extra fridge and wine cooler, and multiple porches and balconies to enjoy the coastal breeze.

Just steps from a quieter stretch of the beach, the home sits along the scenic bike path and is a short walk to Gulf Place Town Center. Relax in your private pool, surrounded by nature, with plenty of chaise lounges and seating for everyone.

Inside, the chic coastal living area opens to a fully equipped kitchen with a wet bar, ample dining at both the large table and kitchen bar, and a balcony overlooking the pool—perfect for entertaining. A second fridge, large wine cooler, and expansive pantry make hosting effortless. The wet bar is ideal for cocktails or mocktails, and the first floor offers a mini fridge and ice maker for poolside snacks.
Outside, the private backyard provides shade during the hottest months, with loungers, a dining table for al fresco meals, and a grill for poolside burgers after a day at the beach. Located on the south side of 30A in a gated community, the home offers privacy, with only a condo complex nearby. We highly recommend renting bikes to explore Gulf Place and Blue Mountain Beach.

The pool can be heated from Oct-March for an additional fee.

The cost to rent the 6-seater golf cart is $100 per day.

**We've cut the cord! All TV's in the home are Smart TVs and available for you to stream your favorite services.

Great Multi Generational Rental

This property was fantastic for our large family vacation. We had 7 adults and 8 children, but we never felt like we were on top of one another. The bedrooms were a great size and the beds were very comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, dishes, etc. There were several fridges which was great for extra groceries and drinks. It was an easy walk to the beach access. We had plenty of parking and so many options for dining and shopping were walkable. The private pool was very clean and a great ammenity. The owners were extremely responsive and communication was great. Thank you for a fantastic family vacation.

Perfect vacation

The house was perfect for my husband and I and 3 grown kids and their familys. Plenty of room. Restaurants were within walking distance and beach just a few minutes away

Could have been better

The location to the beach was fantastic, and the size of the house was perfect. However, upon arrival our house was still being cleaned and we were not able to get into the house until well after 4pm. Once we were settled we noticed food(pineapple & crackers) were on 3 of the bed sheets. Property mngt did provide new sheets but that obviously didn’t sit well with us. The pool waterfall quit running which seem to cause the pool to become extremely murky. The pool guy did come and fix promptly. We also had the refrigerator stop working, which caused a good portion of our food to spoil. Mngt. never fixed that and we had to utilize the laundry refrigerator. For the amount of money we spent I was expecting more, or things to work properly.

Family vacation

Unhappy pool was not cleaned or working properly until 1/2 through. Terrible water pressure, could not take a shower and run water. Towel situation for a house this size was dismal. Had two towels in master bath where there were two adults and one child. Management was fairly quick to respond and communicate. Great location and it is a beautiful house. Met our sleeping arrangements.

Great House for Family Vacation

This house was exactly as described. The short walk to the beach without crossing 30A was great. The private pool was enjoyed by all 9 family members. It was also nice that we could enjoy the community pool and jacuzzi. We had one minor problem and the property manager had it taken care of immediately. Could not have asked for better service. The house was located within walking distance to everything but yet felt isolated because of trees around it. Parking was perfect for the three families. I would definitely recommend this house for a family vacation.

Gorgeous House and great location

Plenty of room for our group of 10. Pool was not as large as we thought, but worked out fine. Easy walk to the beach. Only complaint is for the money we paid, we had to purchase paper towels, toilet paper and there were only two kitchen towels for drying dishes.

Great location, a little TLC would make it wonderful

Overall, the location is great in Gulf Place and we loved being able to take golf carts anywhere we needed to go. Beach is so close, and the second floor living area balcony was spacious with chairs to sit and visit. We confirmed in advance for the pool to be heated, and two days later the pool company came out and repaired the heater. It was odd that there is not a water line to the refrigerator in the kitchen, so no water or ice, however a refrigerator is around the corner in the laundry room. The BBQ grill must be replaced! It's a safety hazard at this point, and even after we cleaned it as much as possible, it was considered to be unsafe by our experienced grillmasters. Again, great location, but a little TLC would help elevate this home to be great, not just good.

Just as shown

Pictures tell it accurately, beautiful place, great vacation spot. Parking situation is better than expected, no one else parked in the ten or so spaces right next to the house besides us. Tons of space. Everything was just as advertised.

Summer vacation

Very nice house and grounds. Access to the beach was good and the house itself suited us fine. The only thing I would change was the seating in the living area wasn't enough for our group.

Multigeneration family beach trip

The property was very nice. The location was excellent- south of 30a with no road to cross. This is important for our family with children. They supply beach chairs, umbrellas, and toys. Our middle school kids ride the large flamingo up and down the beach all week! The beds were awesome-so comfy! The pool with the little water fall was a good size and fun.

Gorgeous property but not very clean

This rental hous in Santa Rosa Beach is absolutely gorgeous. However for the amount we paid to stay for the week the house was not very clean. It looked like the floors under the furniture had not been swepted in quite awhile and the rugs in the living room and upstairs master had not been vacuumed either. Also one of the dining room chairs had a broken leg. We had a few issues with the garage door and downstairs tv but maintenance came out and fixed the issues. Overall we had a great stay but they should look into a different cleaning service.

Amazing Home

We arrived with our 4 children, their spouses and 5 grandchildren. There was plenty of space for everyone. The property was clean and decorated beautifully. The pool was a great addition. The walk to the beach was not far. There were plenty of beach chairs for our use and inflatables for the pool. There were restaurants close enough to walk to along with ice cream shops. The property manager and owner were very easy to work with. You are a part of a condo resort so there was another pool and exercise room. It was a great vacation and I highly recommend this vacation home.
