"This place is very cute! It's not your typical hotel. It was a built in the 1930s, so the rooms and bathrooms are smaller and the hallways narrow. It is clean, quiet, and the front desk was very nice. The only thing we can remotely complain about is when they are full, the parking lot is a tight squeeze, but that is to be expected in Chula Vista so it has nothing to do with how great this place is! " Both the casita and location were PERFECT! Immaculate home, peaceful quiet convenient location, furnished and decorated practically with flair, comfort, style, and attention to every detail. Outdoor area, dining alfresco, was like experiencing Italy or Portugal. Host was attentive to every detail- a true jewel and a very special place to stay/experience. "My teenage son and I loved Barb’s place. It was perfect! The amount of space was just right. The location was fantastic! Easy access to the freeway and we seemed to be 20-25 minutes, at most, from most major SD attractions. Barb supplied body wash, shampoo/conditioner, hair dryer, bath towels, laundry detergent, dishwasher detergent, toilet paper, trash bags, and even had water and snacks. "It is such a cozy and perfect place for a couple getaway. The space was clean, tidy and welcoming. The hosts kept to themselves for the most part and were very nice. "The only real negative was the fact that the mattress is TERRIBLE. It needs to be replaced. Other than that, we loved it. Other people complained about the parking but honestly, there's free overnight parking on El Carmel Pl and Santa Clara Pl which are only 2 short blocks in either direction along the bay. We could see our truck from the balcony. Unloading in the ally behind the unit was no problem and we had brought a wagon so that made it even easier. The ocean is only 2 blocks across Mission...
