"Great venue by the ocean and 10 minutes away from cozy Porto Covo downtown where all the restaurants are. Stayed for one night only. Breakfast was excellent, indoor garage useful. The only downside was the outdoor swimming pool undergoing maintenance and not available to customers."

"It is difficult to add much to all the other reviews, other than to say that they are absolutely right - this really is an idyllic place.The setting is wonderful, surrounded by beautiful Alentejo countryside, with amazing views and a sense of peace and tranquillity that is very special. The cottage itself is full of character, beautifully decorated with a very rustic feel. It feels wonderfully secluded, yet Cercal is close enough for shops, restaurants and anything else you might need, and there are some fantastic beaches within easy reach.We cannot speak highly enough of António. He was incredibly friendly and welcoming and gave us some excellent recommendations for places to visit. The bottle of delicious Alentejo red wine waiting for us when we arrived was a lovely touch - as was the bowl of freshly hand-picked figs he gave us when we left!And a special mention for the outdoor shower - absolutely perfect after a hot day at the beach.We genuinely loved our stay here. A beautiful, peaceful and very special place that we would recommend without hesitation - and can't wait to return to."

"Lovely little boutique hotel, very quiet and calm with super friendly staff. I stayed in a standard room with a small patio which was perfect for 3 nights and very private. Will definitely return :)"

"The outdoor pool was large and accessible. The breakfast was plentiful and also included a hot breakfast. Staff were helpful and friendly. It was a family friendly hotel. Rooms were clean. Slightly outdated hotel but we enjoyed our stay. Would return. Good car parking. Reception is 24 hour apparently."
