I stayed at Icon hotel for five consecutive days during a ski trip to Valle Nevado. The hotel is stunning, comfortable, and very clean. What I loved most was its great location in Santiago. Manquehue Metro Station is about 5-minute walk from the hotel. From there I can ride the Metro line to connect with the pick-up point that heads towards nearby Andes ski centers like Valle Nevado, La Parvati, etc.

My room was not done for 3 days even requesting it at the front desk personally. They receive packages but didn’t call you or message to let you know that they arrived, I still have one missing. Infrastructure is good but service is poor. Non functional for businesses purposes.

I had “don’t disturb” tag for 3 days but at Thursday I requested personally at the front desk to have my room cleaned up. Nobody comes for the next 3 days. I requested packages delivered and no one let me know the arrived. I still have one package lost. The service was better before but know it’s better to go to known hotel chains where the personnel is well prepared.

El Hotel tiene una ubicación centrica tranquila y segura. La habitación se nos fue entregada en buen estado aunque ya presenta deterioro en varias partes, como el escritorio, la silla esquinera un poco sucia, el lavamanos que noes toco estaba quebrado, el baño algo oscuro, la cama hacia ruido al moverte en la noche. Ojo en cuanto al minibar todo lo que te dejan dentro te lo cobran si lo consumes. Otra cosa a resaltar es que piden un deposito de $50.00 dolares por noche como garantía, pero que es devuelta al final de la estancia, se puede hacer en Tarjeta de crédito o Efectivo (Si es efectivo debes dejar el doble de lo que vale la noche). En cuanto al elevador se siente un olor feo a excusado no se por que motivo se filtra ese olor por alli. En cuanto a la limpieza de la habitación fueron atentos, todos los días nos cambiaron las toallas (aunque estas estaban un poco duras), tendieron y cambiaron las sabanas y realizaron las demas limpiezas en general. Para mi esposa tuvieron un buen presenta ya que ella estuvo de cumpleaños durante la estadia y nos regalaron una botella de Vino Espumante. El bar que esta en el último piso tiene algunas opciones de comida y resuelve. En fin mi opinión es buena regular, creo que pueden mejorar en muchas cosas. (Me hospede 6 Noches con mi esposa)

En Chile, la Ley N° 19.628 sobre Protección de la Vida Privada, reforzada por la nueva Ley N° 21.719 (que moderniza la protección de datos), regula el tratamiento de información personal, prohibiendo el almacenamiento innecesario de documentos. Los hoteles solo pueden pedir el documento para validar datos, no fotocopiarlo ni escanearlo, por considerarse un exceso que vulnera la privacidad. Tuve una conversación muy desagradable con una recepcionista, no pueden fotocopiar los documentos de identificación.

We loved our stay at Icon Hotel! It’s a great location, right by a metro station, and the neighborhood is lively and safe. The rooftop bar has a beautiful hire, great drinks, and amazing service (especially Marcello!). The onsite restaurant is delicious. Rooms are spacious, have great views, and housekeeping is prompt and excellent (especially Jazmin).
