Clean and Basic Hotel

This hotel is a very basic hotel. I think you get what you pay for. The pools are beautiful and very nice. There are much more expensive hotels on the island, and this one makes it more accessible and I love the small town it is located in. I have to say, the service was incredibly friendly, warm and personal here. I found the beds to be a bit hard, and the shower was a bit difficult to manage, but I am also used to more American standards so that could be part of the difference.

We had a lovely short stay at Star Hotel, the staff were friendly and welcoming and we were given a complimentary drink at the pool bar on arrival. We loved the family-feel of the hotel, it was clean, comfortable and we especially enjoyed walking around the small village and visited a lovely restaurant on the tiny town square. Short bus ride to Perissa beach. Great value hotel :)

Поездка очень удалась! Отель чистый, ухоженный. Номер предоставили лучше, чем ожидали. Хозяин отеля самостоятельно обслуживает в ресторане, беседует со всеми, шутит. Очень рекомендую, абсолютное соотношение цены и качества!

great location, spotless and friendly staff

We had a great holiday. The facilities were safe, friendly very clean and well maintained. The location is perfect on the edge of the least commercial but probably the most beautiful village on the island and with great local restaurants and bakeries on your doorstep to suit all budgets.

Santorini hotel star

Premesso che Santorini é molto carina e non é il caso di passare troppo tempo in hotel sono rimasto deluso dalla struttura. Ho prenotato con oltre 3 mesi di anticipo una camera con letto matrimoniale e mi é stata data una con due singoli dallo stile veramente datato e non una eccelsa pulizia.la colazione non era nulla di speciale (ho mangiato solo pane e marmellata)in compenso la posizione buona e la piscina vivibile fino a 10 persone. Comunque il rapporto prezzo qualitá dell'hotel é troppo elevato!!!

Nice and modern hotel

We only stayed here for 1 night. The hotel itself is really nice, clean and modern. The staff was friendly and helpful. We did not use the pool, but it looked amazing. The only let down was the small shower and the short shower curtain- for such a modern hotel this was really disappointing. The entire bathroom got soaked. This was our most expensive hotel (out of the 12 different hotels we stayed at during our Greece islands trip) and unfortunately, it was probably the least value for money. However, it is nice and modern overall. The breakfast was adequate and the wifi was good.

Semplicemente perfetto!

Abbiamo trascorso una settimana in questo ottimo hotel dal 28 agosto al 4 settembre. Leggendo alcune recensioni negative, che ora fatico a comprendere, ci aspettavamo una struttura mediocre. Al nostro arrivo abbiamo trovato invece un personale cordialissimo che ci ha accolto alla 1:00 am, un proprietario che ha parlato con noi solo in italiano (nonostante noi spesso usassimo l'inglese) e che ogni giorno ci chiedeva se andava tutto bene. Per quanto riguarda la struttura, la camera era pulitissima, ampia, con letto a baldacchino, e il bagno comodo e confortevole. Disponevamo di una vasca/doccia combinata piú che decorosa. La zona piscina è splendida. Tutto l'esterno è decorato con radici, vasi e fiori meravigliosi. A colazione si aveva a disposizione sia dolce che salato, senza una vasta scelta, ma tutto di buona qualitá, e comunque sufficiente per ingrassare! Niente zanzare, niente mosche o insetti, niente traffico notturno, una vista incredibile della caldera attraversando la strada e facendo pochi passi tra viti e muli. Infine, la posizione baricentrica ci ha permesso di vedere tutta, tutta tutta l'isola, con spostamenti in auto di durata massima 30 minuti. Thira e alcune delle piu famose spiaggie distano 10 minuti in auto! Consigliatissimo!! Un caloroso ringraziamento a tutto lo staff, e speriamo di rivederci presto!

Have to walk to get to the caldera. The shower is so small and it gets flooded every time we shower. Room is ok. Staff is very helpful

Bad experience

Hotel provided 2 single beds instead of one double, even though we requested double when we booked many weeks in advance and paid in full in advance. Staff said it was a fault of the booking system and said they couldn't promise anything. Finally they changed the room the same night for one with a double bed, but to our regret the bed in the new room was full of sand and hair... When we complained we were met with suspicion instead of humility and 3 people from the staff came to verify it was indeed dirty before they had the cleaning lady change the sheets, and even then the staff did not seem to care about our reasonable complaint. The breakfast was bad and resembled that of a 2 star or less. We preferred to go to a bakery or restaurant the other days. The facilities themselves were not bad, but given the above mentioned and taking the price into account we felt like we did not get our money's worth at all. I cannot recommend this hotel.

Carinissimo complesso situato in posizione ottima

Location a metà strada per raggiungere in poco tempo tutte le zone dell' isole. Colazione misera, ma ok se ci si accontenta di un buonissimo yogurt greco con cereali. Piscina splendida, silenziosa, a volte c'eravamo solo noi, con zona idromassaggio. Camera nella media, bagno piccolo, condizionatore rumoroso. Il titolare ci ha aiutato subito a noleggiare uno scooter. Consigliato per la posizione, la piscina e il bellissimo paese di megalochori a due passi con un sacco di ristorantini. Basta attraversare la strada e si può godere del più bel tramonto, in solitudine vicino a un vecchio mulino.

Charming and Quiet

This is a very charming hotel off the beaten track. Other than crossing over or walking along a very busy road, the location is fairly quiet and has a small village feel. Once you cross over to the other side of the road, the view is spectacular! The owner was so kind and helpful. He will recommend places to eat, help provide you with a rental car and transportation to and from the seaport. My friends and thoroughly enjoyed our stay in breathtaking Santorini!

Ótimo custo benefício

Trata-se de um negócio de família. O pai é um senhor extremamente simpático e atencioso. Chegamos no hotel às 07 hs. da manhã e nossa diária iniciava somente às 15 hs., porém ele gentilmente nos permitiu que entrássemos mais cedo. Ofereceu-nos também o aluguel de carro por um preço bem mais acessível que as demais locadoras e como precisei ficar com o carro por mais meio dia além do combinado, cobrou somente mais meia diária. Detalhe: a locadora pertence ao seu filho. O quarto oferecido foi uma suíte completa de frente para o mar. Apenas a arrumação do quarto deixou um pouco a desejar, mas assim mesmo valeu a pena.

Great Staff

The hotel staff were great in accommodating our needs. They were very friendly and welcoming. The pool area is the highlight of the hotel. The rooms are clean. The hotel is located on the road in front of the small town of Megalochori. It's about a 3 minute walk to the local bus stop which takes you to Fira and Oia. A taxi into Fira was 15 euro.

Very well kept grounds. Excellent pool.

The hotel is near the main road and only few minutes away from the bus station. It is in a secluded area and if you don''t have a car, you are confided to your room at night as there is nothing to do in the immediate vicinity. We tried walking and were attacked by vicious looking dogs. Fortunately they were chained. Hotel grounds are very well maintained. Very nice pool for adults and kids. Owner welcomed us with cups of cold drinks when we checked in. He was very pleasant and helpful in giving us directions and seemed eager to accommodate us. We stayed there for 3 nights. However, on the third day we had no soap and shampoo and those cups of the cold drinks from day one were still in our room. House keeping can be improved. Breakfast was good.
